i hate the sound of trains going down the track. especially out in the country! i always think of a headless horseman for some reason....probably because it's a local urban legend.....plus the movie Stand By Me doesn't help either. i hate that movie! *shivers*

I don't hate that sound in particular but I sure hated while I was travelling in Canada and my tent was next to rail road tracks for five days in a row!
Why the fuck do Canadian trains toot their horns continuously?

 there's no way i could do that! i always think of people getting run over, dismembered, or the train derailing....that's happened in my hometown too. they just really creep me out!

I saw two things (not in Canada) that you definitely wouldn't want to see then (well, no one actually).
When you're camping and start hearing weird noises in the woods...
Like my wolf story? Actually, that didn't freak me out. However, this other time I was camping in bear country and I left a whole unopened bag of nutter butter cookies on a rock close to my tent. I was awakened in the middle of the night by what sounded like something large tearing into the cookies. A bit freaked, I decided to keep quiet and let the animal have the treat. The next morning, I found the empty bag dragged off and left at the mouth of a ground squirrel's hole...

lol, classic...
I camp alot and am used to animal noises. Just your basic trees rustling and creaking is what does it for me.

the wind chimes on my front porch are creepy sometimes.

My brother, so glad I no longer live at home, the noises that guy come out with were not human, I had to share a room with this freak.
Knives being sharpened, I used to do contract work and I often had to share hotel or bed and breakfast rooms with people I didn't know too well, I shared a room with a guy called Pat once who smelled, didn't say much and looked a little like Fred West only with a beard, I woke up sudden once to find him sat on the edge of his bed sharpening a knife and starring in my general direction.
apparently another lad who had shared a room with him before had had pretty much the same experience.
Childs laughter can be scary, as can cradle music.
Why is everyone so creeped out by Foxy Mop?
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...
... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

I love Foxy Mop but I can see how it would freak some people out. It is different.
I love fog and fog horns as long as I don't have to be out on the water or driving in it. Way different story then.
My awful sounds are not creepy, but I hate the sound of tearing paper (it's like nails on a chalkboard to me, which doesn't bother me a bit) and chainsaws.

Don't see why. I'm always outside your house with my binoculars anyway.

We went camping after watching Blair Witch Project when we were 15, me and a friend and two 16-year-old girls. It was so much fun!
