A touch absurd 7 games into the season.

(Though I did find the preojected record of 82-0 amusing)
    This weekend we rock Portland

I'm a Celtics fan and I'm still not convince about their so-called "championship season '07-08"

Not yet. I'm very very impress with KG and how he has strengthen the defense.

I'll be more focused after the All-Star break.
    Now is too early.

  • Yeah, I'll be on the edge of my seat checking daily to see if the Celtics can match that 41-3 start that the Bulls achieved.

7 games into the season? what a joke.

hilarious that they outlined that they are on a pace to go 82-0.
  • They're not gonna go 82-0. it's just ESPN hype because they do the League's TV.
    9/7/98, 8/3/00, 9/4/00, 4/15/03, 7/1/03, 9/28/04, 9/29/04, 5/24/06, 5/25/06, 6/17/08, 6/22/08, 6/28/08, 6/30/08, 5/17/10, 10/15/13, 10/16/13.

Goin' out on a limb there, huh?? :D

Celts hype machine is running at warp speed right now.

More like mark game 23 as their first test and then game 28 as their second test. The Raptors will beat them before they get to game 23 but they do play in a fairly easy east conference and will get pounded by the four big west teams twice (home and home) this year.

You think? The thing about those western conference teams is that one game they'll score 120 and the next score 80.

I don't think it's out of the question for them to win 70.

I too am impressed with the Celtics so far, but you do realize that only 1 NBA team has ever one 70 games in a season, right?

I love the Celtics but they'll be lucky to win 60. Besides it's not what you in the long season, it only preps you for the playoffs. I'd like to see better defense from them first before giving them so many victories.

    Peace

    Lou is probably really happy.

Poor Lou. :( And not as busted as the knicks, unless you're referring to a busted ravioli (One of Lou's favorite). Sorry for being vulgar. ;)

  • I ain't gonna knock on em because they are off to a fantastic start, and they are winning these games with authority....not like 2 or 3 point last minute wins...we're talking 10+ points on some games.

But like you guys said, we're 7 games in thus far.....lots of work to be done....If they get to like 20-0 in a few weeks, I'd be surprised.....but I think if they can stay healthy, I see a strong run at the title.

I'm curious to see how they'll do on the road sunday at Orlando.

I guarantee you they don't go 0-8 against the 4 big west teams (I assue you mean Dallas, Phoenix, San Antonio and Utah or maybe N'awlins)...they'll go 4-4 I guess, and not get blown out in any more than 1 game of the 8.

celtics are awesome. i went to go see them play the bulls a few weeks ago. its like they are just melding perfect together.

this reminds me of the old school cetics. the kind i grew up watching.

and i really hope they win this game by 40 points... i know thats prolly bad sportsmanship to some but i think after the hawks came back and won the last game there were a lot of boston doubters. and they need this to regain the momentum needed to go all the way.

The league got their game 7. Now everyone is happy. Celts will take it at home.
  • Cavs will win the series in 6 games.
I think they learned a lot last year against the Pistons and Spurs, they want to get back to the finals.
    LeBron is the man.

no offense, I think KG, Pierce, and Allen want it more. they know their time is running up.

they WANT it more, but they have no answer for lebron and if they play the same way that they did in the atlanta series (aside from game 7), they got no shot.

    i'm a little torn.

i want the celtics to win
but i would love to see labron in the champion ship.

but i think it comes down to that. Labron vs the celtics.
    labron is better than great.
but the celtics have a whole bunch of players that are great. i think they can keep up the tempo. i think this game gave the celtics confidence. i think the celtics got the scare they needed.

im just saying i dont think this is gonna be labrons year.

the celtics had a lot of strong additions at the beginning of the year. individually they would have kept the celtics close to last place. but together they have worked hard together to get to the top.

if the cavaliers can add some help for labron, even if it isnt huge playmakers then i think they can take it to the bank.

lets not forget as awe inspiring as jordan was, he had lots of good players by his side.

I think this series might turn out to be like the old Celtics vs. MJ's Bulls(pre-Pippen) and Wilkens' Hawks, where both MJ and Nique just played like megastars but Boston won.

LeBron will probably put up jaw-dropping numbers but I hope Boston still wins.

Wally Sczerbiak and Delonte West each had their requisite one good game, LeBron will have to win this series all on his own...not gonna happen. Of course the Cavs do have the offensive powerhouse that is Ben Wallace...so Celts in 5.
The Atlanta series will end up being good for them, much like Phoenix being pushed to the brink by a sorry 8 seed Laker team in 1993, and then advancing to the finals to lose to the Chicago Jordans.

this series reminds me of the second round series in 1992 with the knicks and bulls. the knicks played them tough for six games and the bulls blew them out in game seven and the rest was history.

You dont think the Pistons and the Spurs series last year wasn't good for the Cavs?. ,along with the way the Wizards beat LeBron up last series. I believe the Cavs are motivated. The big 3 did struggle a bit against the Hawks, they havent played together in the playoffs, the Cavs have.
Wally and Delonte have a little extra motivation, being former Celts.
    Celts in 5............please.
