When I worked at Bloomingdale's on Michigan Ave. in Chicago, I saw a few people.
I saw Jerry Springer riding down an escalator in the mall. He was carrying a copy of The Da Vinci Code. (He lives across the street in the John Hancock building.)
I saw Nick Lachey once in the store. Apparently, Jessica Simpson was there, too, but she was in the dress department and, unlike a few of my coworkers  , I didn't run over to see her.
I saw Dianne Sawyer shopping with her mother, also in the store. She didn't have any makeup on, so it took us a minute to realize who she was. She has absolutely beautiful skin!!0 -
running on the treadmill at a hotel i was staying at for a conference I looked over and saw Peter Gammons on an elliptical machine.
at dinner the night before we were enjoying a steak when JayZ and beyonce sat down at the Bar for a few.make sure the fortune that you seek...is the fortune that you need0 -

Then, we walked down the street to visit a friend who works at The Troubadour (500 capacity club), and we saw Phyllis Diller, who was there to see a band (it was a local band night, so most everyone was their to support family/friends).
She's still alive?? :eek:If I had known then what I know now...

vital5 wrote:I was in the backstreet markets of Mykonos, Greek Islands having a wander around looking for some postcards... I heard this loud American woman saying something or another about a watch she'd just seen... Couldn't help but turn around to see what was going on.. Turned around and it was Sarah Jessica Parker with a baby hanging off of her front... entourage and all in tow.... Hardly any other people about. (I got her to autograph my chest. kidding!) this was in 2003.
I also saw Albert Hammond Jr. in a pub miles away from the gig i'd just been to for the Strokes in Australia... Was very strange seeing him.. i was a little gob smacked he'd gone to the same place... I said to him "i'll just pretend you aren't famous" and kept walking. the whole band might have been there... I wasn't there very long
Huh, I saw albert Hammond Jr. after a gig in Melbourne on probably the same tour and he was probably one of the biggest wankers I've come across...
For me the strangest celeb sighting was in '95 at a Mark Curry (hangin' with mr Cooper) stand-up show and Dean Cain (former Superman) was in the audience. Was funny because we both kept getting mentioned throughout the show... (Superman and the 12 year-old in the front row.)I only lied because it was the easiest way to get what I wanted.0 -
I sat near Jay Z at Legal Seafoods
I was going up an escalator and Nelly was coming down
I was Memphis Bleek walking around
...this was all on the same day
I was in Georgetown in DC at the Adidas store and brushed shoulders with Missy Elliot
I actually met Pete Wentz at a music festival before he was famous, I barely knew who he was but we talked for a while and everytime he saw me, he gave me a hug. I saw him a lot after! Too bad I don't really like Fall Out Boy...
I saw Tara Reid at an airport in Mexico. She was leaning on some guy haha
I sat near Pharrell at a Benihana once. Hehe!
...I always see hip-hop people everywhere! It's weird! Minus Pete Wentz and Tara Reid, of course.
Oh and this isn't a sighting, but my aunt dated Ricky Martin when he was in Menudo, haha.0 -
Kurt Rambis at a Planet Hollywood restaurant. He was hard to miss.If I had known then what I know now...

back in 98 my friend's little sister worked at a Starbucks outside of Canton Ohio. Well we were watching the NEC Golf Tourny that is played in Akron Ohio one day in August..anyways, she walked into the room and goes "hey I sold coffee to that guy this week like 3 times!" --that guy was Tiger Woods and she had no clue who he was when he walked in there at 6am every morning.
that one is my funniest even though it wasn't me seeing him0 -
I met the President of Ireland in tesco a few years ago, that was pretty odd :P0

Because I never talk to you without mentioning it.And Ray D'Arcy talked to our school when we were in 4th class - some kids said they saw the Dustin puppet in the boot of his car, lying there all dead and stuff... :( But we got off homework that day if we each sang the Bananas in Pyjamas theme song in turn!

David O'Doherty came to our college way back when. Best Irish comedian short of Dylan Moran.

he's Canadian? wow, he was my favourite wrestler and I didn't know that! I was such a lame kid!
actually a person I met pertaining to Pearl Jam was Ed Byrne! He was in the Kings Head in Galway a few months back with a few comedians from The Panel. We had a nice drunken 10 minute conversation about PJ!0 -

Depressingly, I can say without looking it up that I'm pretty certain he's from Winnipeg. I actually hope I'm wrong.
I keep forgetting you're old enough to drink.I'm actually pretty jealous that you met the guys from the Panel - was Neil Delamere there?

Mwahahaha I win!! I'm not sure if Neil was there but I know Colin Murphy was definitely there!
And on that note, I'm heading to the pub, talk to you later!0 -
When I worked in London, I'd see Anthony Head absolutely everywhere. I was starting to think he was a bit like Jeremiah Smith on the X Files.Like a cloud dropping rain
I'm discarding all thought
I'll dry up, leaving puddles on the ground
I'm like an opening band for the sun0
