What do you do when you don't know what makes you happy?

They're just at a complete standstill when they think about an option that would make them a happy person, and have absolutely no clue?

Other than things that would bring temporary happiness due to the situation, like buying something you've wanted. Just in general in life, you're completely confused and frustrated because you can't see anything that'd make you happy?

What do you do?

Kinda similar to that whole, you're with a whole crowd of people you love, that love you, and you still feel comopletely lonely. Nothing would kick that lonliness either.

    Kinda like being in a crowded room, but still being alone. How do you fill a void when you don't know exactly where the void is, let alone what will fill it?

    i go out on weekends and get drunk, also i think about sex. that usually helps me get by.

    Well I guess you really need to get to the root of the problem. Some people just have an emptiness in them that never seems to go away. No matter how many *fixes* they try.
    These cuts are leaving creases. Trace the scars to fit the pieces, to tell the story, you don't need to say a word.

    Some people do. But I think that's just because they can't identify exactly what is missing. The only way to get rid of it is to figure out what's missing and find it.

    Easier said than done though. I spent pretty much my whole life, up until late last year, just like this.

    so if it's not personal, what made you happy? what made you think that you've got everything that you want and need?

    Thank you. I guess it really wasn't fair to say that i'm NOT HAPPY. I'm fine, really. I'm just not EXCITED about anything (outside of Pearl Jam) wow- I really feel pathetic.

    Well you are right about it's easier said then done. I didn't mean to say something so cliched but I really can't and won't go into my personal life issues on message boards.

    I feel the same...the past year and a half has had more downs than ups...and some of the downs have REALLY been down, so I am still trying to work through some of those things.

    But I'm hoping things will start to look up...seeing Eddie in April REALLY helped, so I'm looking forward to a New York vacation in a couple weeks. :)

    thinking about sex just frustrates me at worst and at best it makes me excited about life and makes my depression or stress or anything else go away for that period of time

    yeah i had too. but what i was saying is that if i already feel sad and have empty feeling then putting my best clothes would make me feel much better

    You wearing sexy clothes makes most men happy. :D It's the ones that say the sleazy comments and realize what's gonna happen after that make them unhappy. :p
