Six months?!?! After reading Gallagher I was thinking this date took place in 1984 or something!! Congrats on the anniversary! Let me ask you though, does Gallagher still charge extra to be within the range of getting watermelon seeds shot up your nose?!? I know that when I took my dad to see him about 15 years ago you had to pay more to get shit on. Never understood that premise.
when i saw him it was in a small GA club (Chameleon Club in Lancaster, Pa) and no.. you didnt have to pay more to sit up close... tho we hung out in the back.. away from the spray..

The more elaorate a first date is or the more money I spend the worse the date usually turns out. One of the best first dates I ever had all we did was drive around for a couple hours. So, that's my advice. Keep it simple.

I like cafes for a first date, as dinner conversation seems forced, and I'm not a big drinker. If both parties are interested in photography, a photography tour/date would be cool. If both parties are interested in books then independent bookstore hopping is cool. It takes time, there's travel i.e., adventure, and both parties are probably happy if they like books. If both parties love music then independent music store hopping would be good. I'm focused on independent because the selection of inventory would change based on tastes of the owner. That's exciting! Chain stores tend to offer the same inventory.

The date was basically over before it started. Someone took me to a greatful dead cover band in a pub in Chicago. That was a good first date. Music events are good first dates.

Absolutely it should be fun... that's the only non alcoholic way to loosen up with someone and a sports game is fantastic.

Hmm... but you can't talk to each other... i'd be a nightmare! Tbh though, I only really like going to music events with people i'm comfortable with so it'd be a few dates down the line or when i'm in a relationship with the guy.
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...
... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.
