Vicodin

so my back's been really bothering me lately, so i was able to get a few vicodin from my friend.

i have never taken it before, so i don't really know what to expect. is it going to keep me up? make me crash? ok to mix with alcohol?

i wouldnt suggest mixing with alcohol. though i have. some people crash out when on vike ! so dont make any plans, and give yourself time to sleep it off, just in case.

first of all, be careful. This drug is chemically almost identical to heroin. Only take this if you really need it -- if you are in excruciating pain. Otherwise, take some Somas or Ibuprofin.

Don't take more than 1 at a time, twice a day. Get off of it after no more than one week.

For me, it kept me up all night and I smoked a pack of cigs and drank a case of diet coke. For others I think it usually makes you drowsy... I don't know why it is different for some.

Do not mix it with alcohol.

A lot of people get nauseous when they take it, so you're better off taking it with a little food. Also, if you take it frequently it will cause constipation...so keep that in mind.
It will make you a little loopy (esp. if your not used to it) so I wouldn't go driving around or take it if you have a lot to do.

I like vicodin but sometimes it upsets my stomach. I prefer codeine when I really need to relax or am in a lot of pain.

I recently got a prescription for vicodin through my doctor -- I'm dealing with a knee problem that is quite painful. I took it once and did NOT like it at all. I crashed hard. When I woke up I was in a sweat and my limbs felt like they were under water (some people would like this). I still have pain and cannot run so I am restricted to lifting weights. As for the knee pain, I take 600mg of ibuprofen three times a day and that works okay.

it reacts differently for different people...for me it gives me a warm fuzzy relaxed feeling....doesn't do much for the pain but you're so relaxed you don't care...i prefer weed to kill my pain

I wouldn't worry. The only way to find out is to try it.

Like I said, it makes me feel relaxed. With a glass of wine is nice too sometimes.

But if you that worried about it, don't take it.

vicodin is nice. but, it definitely should only be taken if you dont have anything else to do; like if you can just lay around at home. when i take it, i get a little drowsy. i can usually stay awake if i force myself to, but usually, i just nap. sometimes it makes my toes and fingers numb...but not in a bad way.

i dont think it is TOO strong. my doctor prescribes it for most pain--- earaches, cramps, etc. she is nice.

I had 3 surgeries already this year and have both Vicodin and percocets. Vicodin to me seems kind of weak compared to taking the same dose of percs. With 2 Percocet I feel lightweight and dizzy, super relaxed and stress free. I would need 4 Vicodins to feel like this, but I don't trust taking that many. i'm crazy, not stupid. My only suggestion is DO NOT DRIVE!!!!!!! i cant walk without sideswiping my countertop on this. just be safe and take the recommended dosage and you'll be fine. A beer or 2 won't kill you either, despite what everyone says.

First of all, find out what hydrocodone to acetaminophen ratio your pills have.

You can do that by typing in the pill numbering/lettering into google. There are websites that have a database of every opiate pill ever made.

Vicodin comes in ratios of 5/500, 7.5/750 and, if you're lucky, 10/325.
The 10/325 are actually known as Norcos, but have the same ingredients as vicodin.

The first half of the ratio represents hydrocodone (the opiate) in milligrams. The second half is acetaminophen (tylenol).

The acetaminophen was recently discovered to be highly toxic to the liver when taken in excess quantities. It is recommended that you do not have more than 4 grams (4000 milligrams) of acetaminophen in a 24 hour period.

Also, do not snort vicodin. It has way too much tylenol in it. People snort Lortab and Oxycontin because those don't have any tylenol.

If you ever get your hands on some oxycontin, PM me and I'll share a few tricks of the trade with you.

Also, google "cold water extraction" or CWE. This is a method by which you can separate the tylenol from the hydrocodone, saving your liver and getting you higher.

However, if you have no tolerance, then you shouldn't need more than one or two vicodins to get loaded.
