I'm kinda with ya... I'd rather they disrespect her for being a politician and her viewpoints rather than the reasons given. I don't think women should be respected just cos they're women... I think everyone deserves respect til they prove they don't deserve it.

And I hate how Hollywood has been elevated to the point where some Americans are being swayed by what they think.
Not necessarily in this case as people are either for or against her..there doesn't seem to be any grey area. But in other areas of politics.

I agree completely along the lines of what was said being disgusting. I still don't think she deserves more respect cos she's a woman or that she should automatically be respeted cos shes a woman... but what was said was disrespectful to women in general... showing that, no matter what kinda job a woman gets, men will always look at her from a sexual viewpoint... rather than how good or how shite she is at her job.
