When I was younger..... ha ha.... I used to work 12 hour days 12 out of 14 days 3 or 4 months out of the year. Sometimes I used to work O/T on my days off. I had to sign waivers because of state labor laws. Good money, hard life.

depends if we are using the Julian calendar or the Gregorian calendar?

if its the latter then 50-60 hours.. if its the former... 0.12 kwangjocks or whatever they used
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

During tax season back in the 70's before automatic extensions I'd work a minimum 8-8 7 days a week from January through April, so 84+. :)

I helped open a restaurant once and for the first three months I was the only cook. Lunch and dinner. I averaged about 104 hours a week. Never again.:)

You are putting in some good hours.
When I worked in Fort Mac a few summers ago doing survey work, my shift was 20 days on and 7 days off, we averaged anywhere from at least 10 to 13.5 hours a day. I did this for six months straight.

Definitely over 80, not sure exactly.

In academic situations I've "worked" a lot more than that though. Last spring I was getting about 4 hours of sleep a night for about 8-12 weeks and was doing absolutely nothing except work.

I had a full time job and 2 part time jobs all summer one year, and I'm not sure how many hours that amounted to. The two part time jobs were physical labour and the summer sorta blurred it's way into time. I'd come home, fall on bed, get up when one of my parents would come wake me up and turn my alarm off that was ringing for a few minutes next to my head, go work, repeat...
    Fun!

I worked 130 hours/week as a movie extra for a few weeks in a row when I was a teenager.

I once opened a movie theater and worked about 115 hours/week for a few weeks.

But that's nothing compared to how much the docs in my office work. There are relatively new resident policies that don't allow us to schedule the resident physicians for more than an average of 80 hours/week over a 4-week rotation. They also aren't supposed to work more than 30 hours in a row without 10 hours off. But you can work them 120 hours one week and 40 hours the next without breaking any policies, since the 80-hour work week is only an average. And if you're working a 30-hour shift - let's say 8 AM one day to 2 PM the next day - and you take an hour off, you can then be required to work until 3 PM the next day.

These duty hour limitations are only for residents, though. After residency, you can work non-stop. Several of my colleagues regularly work 120 hours/week. (And I mean actually work, not counting being on call at home.)

Moral of the story: don't become a doctor. :(
