My goodness!!!!!

He's chewed up my best pair of old slip on working shoes!!!!

I mean I've sent him to his mat and I've tried to be stern and the pack leader but sheesh!!!

Where on earth am I gonna get another pair of them shoes from??????

AND how can I be cross at him for long when he's so damn bewildered by it all, like chewing my shoes is perfectly normal dog behaviour???

I mean he's been looking at me like "Gee Mum, they're just an old pair of shoes!!" :p
NOPE!!!

Bit late! :( I already waved it in his face and said, "What's this? BAD DOG! Get on your mat." And then I took it off him. Probably not quite what cesar had in mind but close kinda. :o

Lukin's never done it before either. I'm really not sure what the deal was. It's not like he doesn't have 4 billion chew ropes and assorted other toys to chew on.

OOOH!! **slaps forehead** which reminds me!! How is Normie??? :)

yeah like i said that's what cesar would do....you and i we just yell and scare the shit out of 'em and the poor dogs don't know what the hell is going on :p\

nahmie is good.....stitches come out friday....other than feeling a bit of pain when he has to get out of the car he hasn't given it much thought :)

ya know. some say you shouldnt yell at the dog, but act out at what they did.

like, if they get into the garbage, dont yell at them. but yell at the garbage as you pick it up. cry, fake cry i should say, and make what they did a big deal, but dont put it on them.

ive tried, it works. and my dogs are frackin' OLD!!

but anyway. dont be too hard on them. cause someday they wont be there.

like i said, my dogs are old, and will go soon. and.........FUCK!!!

i wont be able to deal with that.

ill come home looking for shit that they fucked up, and when its not there...
    ill miss them.

and just ..........IDK, probalbly kill myself.

    i love my pups.

best thing that ever happened to me. : )

ha! :D That sounds quite a bit like how it is actually. He knows he did bad though because I was so cross I could barely speak! That's when he knows things are very bad, when he's rendered me speechless. Last time he managed that was the "shit on the bed" episode that I hope I NEVER live through again and actually now that I think of it, by comparison what's a pair of shoes hey? :D

I'm glad Norm's ok. :) We've been worried about him even if we forgot to say. :)

Well this is the problem wolfy, mostly I can't be mad at him for long, I always feel so bad when I have to discipline him and for a while there I didn't, which is why I think he's got boundary issues now. Or if I did send him to his mat I'd feel so mean I'd end up giving him a treat for sitting on the mat so nice like, when he got sent there for doing bad in the first place.

I would never have got through this past year without that Dog. He's my baby. My four legged, furry baby. :) And I love him to pieces. I'm just not real good being cross with him which isn't really very helpful for him.

Anyway, as it turns out I did that thing that you said sorta as I was picking up bits of the inner sole of my shoe. I think he knows I'm not mad anymore because he's moved onto the couch and sprawled out. :D

my dogs are 12 years old!! the first time i yelled at the garbage After they got into it, they were really like ...........wtf? for days LOL. they have not gotten into the garbage since, and thats been a month or so, and they usually get into that shit once a week. cause my dumb ass forgets to take it out and leaves it there for them. but anyway, it worked! : )

Lukin's only 2 maybe? So he's still got some puppy tendencies but generally he's pretty good. I've never had to worry about him and shoes before but I guess I'll have to be careful to put them in the wardrobe now. Why he decided they were better than his chew rope I'll never know! :D

No spanking sen. :) Very cross voice and sent to his mat but no spanking. I think I've only ever given him a tap once and that was because he did something truly bad. Chewing my shoes is annoying but not truly bad. :)

I am hopeless though, I can't be cross with him for long. :)

I think if he gets into my make up though we might have issues!!! :D

:) Yeah I know he's bored shitless but the woos won't go out in the rain so I've been playing ball with him in the house and tug rope and he's been getting cuddles and stuff on the couch but I can't walk him in the rain on account he won't go. :D

Yeah, usually he does get a rawhide bone each night Roland but the ones I normally buy him aren't on the shelves anymore and I'm loathe to give him some of them because of where they're from and the preservatives and stuff so we're between chews at the moment. But I buy him a chew rope every week which he demolishes and he gets smaller chews every day. Not to mention his balls and the plastic containers he likes to chase around and play soccer with. :D
