Why the Sports World Hates Boston

Been a season ticket holder at fenway since i got out of school in 2000, you want an easy way to tell if a sox fan is bandwagon or not, ask them what year they started playing Sweet Caroline in the 8th, if they say anything other than 2003 they are on the bandwagon. Ah the good ol days when they didnt play that song at that time and that stupid Tessie as well.
Nothing drives me more crazy than the people that want to do the wave when it's a close game in an important situation.
I agree on the Red Sox Nation stuff as well, I used to use the term back in the day but once the Red Sox actually ran with it and started selling it, that name now turns my stomach. Crazy me, i thought watching the games was proof that i was a fan, didn't need a stupid ID card.
I will give these owners a lot of credit though, they are trying to crank out as much $$$ as they can from the 2nd smallest stadium in baseball. Also when any team wins the bandwagon usually follows, it was the same when the Yankees were winning in the 90's, same with the Bulls of the 90's as well. It's just goes with the territory. It's like when you deal with the devil to you live forever he puts you in a coma.
one last funny story in December of 04 I was at the gym and this guy actually complained and said "the red sox will never win unless they start playing small ball" to which I couldnt help but respond "didn't they just win the world series?"98 MSG I

Most long time fans don't buy into this RS stuff, I certainly don't. However it is a great marketing tool to bring as many dollars apossible to keep this payroll afloat.

and then have the gas tank explode to finish it off.
I really didn't want to see that after they won. I think everyone I was with asked what the fuck they were doing there.I'll ride the wave where it takes me.0 -

Did you see all these Red Sox nation BS before they won in 2004? Could any of them name all the numbers retired in their haloed Fenway Park? And the Celtics?? HA!! That freaking cracks me up! Every band-wagon jumper fan of the suddenly good Celtics is so full of crap. Were you a fan when they lost 18 in a row?
Not all Boston Fans are the same
I can say that I have been a Celts fan since I was a kid.
I went to more games when they sucked. I cant get tickets now becuz of some of the "jumpers" and it is sad because this season means so much to me.

I will admit that the Pats are the most hated team in sports.
The Yankees are the still the most hated team in baseball.
