Sam Raimi should never have put Venom in Spiderman 3. He said many a time he hates the symbiote storylines, and it kinda showed in 3. Venom was little more than a throw away enemy. Carnage could be done alright, but not with Raimi. Even if Raimi wasn't onboard I feel like it'll kinda be let down by the poor introduction Venom got in 3. I agree with NothingSound, a PG-13 Carnage would more than likely suck.

This is probably the do or die for Spiderman franchise. 3 made a total joke out of a series that looked like it could possibly have some longevity.

My Spiderman nerd-dom isn't as big as my Batman one, but isn't Gwen Stacy the Black Cat? Or is she just there for a love triangle? I do know that the Lizard is his one-armed professor from Spidy 2.

If they do Carnage they'd have to do it right and make it rated R and they'll never do that so I'd rather they just don't even try having him.

gwen stacy = not the black cat

gwen stacy = not the black cat = Black Cat = Felica Hardy = the same hair color as Gwen

  • i dont see why it would have to be r-rated for carnage. i dont remember a single spider-man comic that wasnt rated for kids, am i missing something?

and i have to wonder if they will do carnage the old school way, or maybe the ulitmate spider-man carnage. i really didnt like what they did with carnage in ultimate spider-man, but all the marvel movies seem to lean more towards the ulitmate universe, rather than the original.

man theres so many other movies that push the envelope at a PG-13 rating with cursing and violence and even some nudity that it shouldn't even phase them thru the making of this movie.

  • I thought that I wouldnt like any superhero movies more than Spiderman until I saw Ironman. I am still really looking forward to this movie though. Although Spiderman 3 was the worst one so far, it was still better than most other superhero movies I have seen.

See that figures, the symbiote was always my favorite.

It has been so long since I watched the cartoons or read any books, but wasn't there a while when Parker was a giant spider? At least they didn't include that haha.

I would be very skeptical to see this movie after watching the Dark Knight...everything from this moment on will be compared to that...bring on the WATCHMEN!

What about the new superman? That should be interesting. Good they also have(want) a new director. Well I dunno how far they are in it or if a script has even been written yet.

They are quickly trying to forget the bryan singer version and trying to go the dark knight way. Good story, good acting, better direction.
