love how the crowd goes nuts during his scene!

I think it has the potential to outdo TDK cause theres a huge wolverine fanbase prolly equal to Batman and add the anticipation and hype? Could happen.

You're accurate on the fanbase point but I don't think this movie is going to come anywhere near TDK as far as hype and marketing.

probably not, you're right but it could be a sleeper hit and all of a sudden people love it so much it just stays on top of the box office for weeks like TDK did...that also depends on its competition moviewise at the time

and Rygar, killing Gambit aint gonna happen. He's gonna star in X4 or his own movie...and its Adamantium claws Wolvie has, not metal ;)

    Adamantium is a metal ;)
I meant thank fak they weren't bone, as the timeline of the movie gave me the impression it'd be before the adamantium was bonded to his skeleton.
I know Gambit won't get killed off, but he's annoying as fuck and a guy can hope.

well yea I see how he can be annoying....must be the french thing, lmao like Pepe le pew annoying :D
but the fans have been wanting to see him since before the 1st Xmen was even in production...I remember reading all the wizard mags and all that. Funny thing was (and thank GOD this didnt happen) that Jean Claude Van Dam was rumored to have played him in the original Xmen

Yeah SF. Thank hells there was a kick-ass animated movie, or the JCVD version would have sunk the franchise ;)

Gambit - Yeah in the comics. I'm not really sure why he's in the Wolverine movie beyond publicity.

true..I'll just stick to the SF video game..still love it after all these yrs
but yea all the appearances in Wolverines movie were all a suprise really..just hope it doesnt take away from it too much. Thers a LOT going on apparently between him and Yuriko and then Sabtretooth and Striker. Hope its more like an intro to them (Gambit, Blob, Deadpool, etc)and they just do their thing in the end leading up to a sequel or whatever they plan on doing like X-Factor or some shit

    True.
I can see why Deadpool and a lot of the other folks are in it (Weapon X project) but how the Blob and Gambit are involved should turn out interesting. Edit - graphic and prolonged violence is a must for this movie.

    Good SF anime: http://www.amazon.com/Street-Fighter-II-V-Collection/dp/B00008V2V4/ref=pd_bbs_sr_5?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1219234978&sr=8-5

They hinted that he was a childhood friend or something, but I don't think they ever officially linked them that far back.
They may have made him his father for a one-off series, or unrelated time line thingie, but he's not Logan's pops.
Not sure how Schrieber will do as Sabretooth, but should be decent at the worst.

[edit] Chris Claremont had meant for Sabretooth to be Wolverine's father, though this was disproven by subsequent writers. Claremont, when asked what he had intended to be the relationship between Wolverine and Sabretooth, stated:

Father and son. That's why Sabretooth always considered Logan "sloppy seconds" to his "original" / "real deal." The other critical element in my presentation of their relationship was that, in their whole life, Logan has never defeated Sabretooth in a knock-down, drag-out, kill-or-be-killed berserker fight. By the same token, on every one of his birthdays, Sabretooth has always managed to find him, no matter where Logan was or what he was doing, and come within an inch of killing him. For no other reason than to remind him that he could."[9]
In Wolverine Vol. 2 #42, tests done by S.H.I.E.L.D. confirmed that Sabretooth and Wolverine were not father and son.

An interviewer asked Paul Jenkins if the character Dog Logan, a character from Wolverine's early life, from the limited series Origin was Sabretooth. Paul Jenkins said he had not intended it to be him, but said he wouldn't have a problem with another writer doing it later. [10]: from wikipedia... guess you're right ;)

Dog Logan is who I was thinking of when I said 'childhood friend'. I didn't know they officially debunked the father and son thing though.
Sabretooth is quite dead in the comics now anyway ;)

Punisher def and mainly because he's got no powers..he's just a sick character. The othere arent bad. But as far as relating to a character or whatever Wolvie cause of the canadian thing, Spidey cause he was kinda nerdy which I have a tendency to be and other aspects of his personality and loved his abilities and storlyines and Punisher cause of the twistedness in him

Punisher and Wolverine are similar in that they don't just hurt people ;)
I also have the original Wolverine vs Spiderman comic and it is pretty good.
