I was hanging at Central park today catching some sun while I shoulda been job hunting but I brought my laptop and hit up craigslist and send some resumes so we'll see what happens. I winded up passing out for a few and as soon as I popped back up I see this FINE ASS chick a few feet away from me just EYEing me...figured she liked my nipple ring and tats so I smiled back and that was it. For like an hour I started looking up and kept catching her looking but me I'm not the type who just "Hollers" at girls..Im typically shy. SO I gathered my shit and she sees that as I head over to the trash can to dump my garbage and we meet there and exchange a smile again and I say hey..and kept walking away. I turned around and said...." You know you're a very beautiful" very nonchalantly and "That was very wrong of you to keep lifting and spreading your legs like that across from me" lol She was fishing for something and I realized it when she was doing that, thats why I also didnt approach her like that. So she asks me where I'm from and I say to myself this chicks either a Prostitute or just moved here and very lonely. She was Russian and had an incredibly sexxxy accent. anyways I walked with her all the way back to Times Sqaure so she can catch the bus to Philly and in the meanwhile we just kept talking..very cool and open and lastly she say to me well "All I need now is a husband:

I was like excuse me??? She goes " I need to find someone to marry so I can stay in the U.S. I have no visa and look I have money, its no problem, but every guy I tell he doesnt wanna do it..too complicated" And she was right cause one of my boys did it in miami and the dick winded up with a kid by accident, and then he did it again! Least he got paid good and I hear that from other guys too. Its a quick way to make some good cash but is the trouble and the time and all that commitment shit worth it?? I mean this girl was fucking smoking so bad that every guy from 56th to 42nd broke their neck and tried to even get at her while she walked with me. Ive never thought about doing this and its just funny that it happened at a time when I REALLY could use the money. I dont think I could go thru with it tho :(
I dunno..sorry this became a novel but I needed to see what you all think and opinions, advice etc.I got her number and she got mine and info and all that...just sux cause for a sec I thought I was gonna get some ass tonite :mad: lmao

I have had girlfriends who have done the "on paper" thing for the $. One even started being a recruiter and got $1500 for every chick she got to marry a Russian dude. (This chick could have been a recruiter, too!--Bait and switch if you want and need the dough!) Me... No way. Too crazy and complicated for $6K.

I have a male friend who "fell in love" with a really hot Russian chick. They got married. He always felt and still feels she was a cool chick and the marriage just "didn't work." He doesn't feel he was outwardly used. 2+ years and $100 K later her sons were in the US with her...and she started acting like she hated him.He was miserable... with her and her kids in his house and him hanging out in his own garage every night. They got a VERY quick and easy divorce. She lives about a mile away in an apt... Drives a Mary Kay car... and seems to be doing well. He still has like $70 K on his Home Equity Loan. (And if you ask me he's STILL in love with her)

I say... Stay away!!! Stay VERY far away!

I know of a couple people who have done something like this, but your situation is wacked out. Zero chance I would trust that girl.

Whomever said it was a bait and switch is probably right. Trolling in the park, no way that is legit.

My understanding is it is much harder than it looks. You need to dedicate 3 years of your life to this and it is quite a commitment.

You'd get yourself into a bunch of legal trouble if you're actually considering this. Sham marriages to get the green card happens, but people do it with people they actually know and trust. This... it's just plain weird.

In this case, needing a husband simply means 'I need a green card'. I don't think she's intending to mean needing a relationship.

This is a pet peeve of mine. My ex-husband is from Poland and we married for love. Going through the whole green card process was absolute hell because of all the scam marriages. One of my best friends married a man from England for love...a few months after their wedding she got pregnant. Throughout most of her pregnancy her husband was stuck in England because of all the red tape of the green card process. Fortunately right before she was due to give birth he was approved to come here. That was absolute hell for both of them. Unfortunately it's hard to immigrate to the US permanently unless you can get sponsored by a family member (usually a spouse) or an employer (very very rare unless you have a unique skill in a much needed profession). I wish there were more options for people to immigrate here so the marriage thing didn't get exploited...making it much more difficult for people who are legitimately married.

I def would not be looking to fall in love with her cause Ive heard the horror stories like you said about the divorces and the falling apart after a few yrs. Thing is if someone goes into this with the mentality of ok Im gonna help her out and Im gonna help myself out cause I need it financially and there is zero attachment the it should be ok. BUT if you start developing feelings and get attached and have this preconceived notion that the 2 of you will live forever then chances are youre gonna suffer. AND it's def not easy cause there needs to be proof that the 2 ARE in fact married and living together, etc, etc. The govt is not gonna just tell you to say I do and give the chick her card. Both have to pay dues for like 3 yrs I believe in certain cases? Like in Miami think with the Cuban girls its maybe 2 yrs? I dunno, either way, Im not the type who just trusts anyone and gonna be naive like my ex roomamte. fuck THAT!

She would get a conditional green card and you would have to stay married for 2 years before she would be permanently approved (but by the time you get your final interview with INS it would likely be closer to 3 years) - and let me tell you - you have to show tons of evidence that you are married. We brought a whole box of crap and they still give us a hard time - asking us who everyone was in the wedding pics (as if we paid actors to pose as family - wtf???) and asked the most detailed and specific questions about our daily lives - things you wouldn't even think about normally. I really don't know how people get away with faking it, cause the process is not easy. They gave my friend a hard time and she was pregnant with their baby!!!
