For me it works for a brief amount of time until I take that sip that puts me over the edge into deep heart wrenching, blinding sadness. :(
But a couple drinks can always perk me up. :)
Oh absolutely, and I always seem to take that sip over the edge, and then some. Like tonight.

But sometimes it must work, I'm sure.

    A little heartache yourself? :(
    Sorry to hear it.
Eat a sandwich. That makes me feel better.
Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome
And I don't feel right when you're gone away

    :(

And alcohol helps.. in a way, it gets you sadder than before, but it helps the healing process
At least, with me it does

Ha, I'm not sure that'll work in this case but thanks.

More than anything, the alcohol is the problem tonight, otherwise nothing has changed :( Well, almost nothing.

i'll be sure never to break your heart. ;)

and i have to agree....alcohol helps. even when it hurts, it helps. :p i know there are those who would say it is a poor coping mechanism and to them i say go fuck yourself. :D it feels good, it tastes good...it's a fantastic distraction and sure sometimes it makes you feel the pain more intensely, but sometimes, that's a good thing too.

    much love to the broken-hearted...
    Stay with me...
    Let's just breathe...

I am myself like you somehow

Yeah alcohol helps, but then you get sober and the hurt is still there.

    sure.
never suggested it rids yourself of it....just eases it some.
hell, i find alcohol makes most things, good or bad, better. :)
the hurt takes time to heal...that's the hard and painful truth. nothing will rid yourself of it, just coping....and playing out the waiting game to move on.

Yeah I guess i was just speaking from personal experience. I have done some strange stuff while under the influence.

but yeah it mostly comes down to the old saying about time healing all.

I prefer to smoke as drinking depresses me more and then I become the weepy drunk. That's not fun... or I go throw up somewhere.
