What made my day? Well, Saturday was a sad day because it was the 2nd anniversary of my Dad's death. But I got some happy news when my daughter invited me over for dinner and I got the news that she is pregnant with baby number 3. I have 2 grandsons and now I can look forward to a new baby boy or girl!

My boss emailed me to tell me that her little boy had a lemonade stand this weekend with his best friend and they made 25 dollars and he decided to donate 5 dollars to the animal shelter that I volunteer at! She asked if I would take him to give his donation and for a tour of the shelter, and to see the animals..
Oh that made my day 100 times over. So sweet for a 6 year old to do!

That is SO cool. I love that. Sounds like a sweetie pie
watching my son graduate high school and being able to thank God that his eyes were on him in the big ways. sure he has been a normal kid, dumb mistakes like we all have made, but when I look at him, I think, "I not only love you (duty as a mom), but I LIKE you (which is not included nor necessary for the job description) and I feel lucky to be your mom.
I am so proud of him.

I've lived in my area for over six years yet have only just learnt that we have a woodland area near us. It's sort of hidden amoung factories.
On my doorstep there's a park and a big playing field. To the right, there's a little bridge that goes under the duel carriage way. So the other day, I decided to venture under it to see what's on the 'other side' lol. It goes off into fields, woodlands, streams and it just goes on for miles. You can keep walking until you get to another town. It's great. I saw a baby dear too! All completely unexpected in my big town.
So later I'm going to investigate further. I love exploring!
Oh, another thing. My son really makes me laugh. His new thing is to try and imitate me or his dad when we're on the phone. This morning, he picked up a sock, held it to his ear and went 'yah yah... okay, yah yah, bye'.
My littlest getting into bed with me at 4 this morning for a cuddle... He doesn't do it often anymore.
