Saw another nice one... "Little Big League" or was it "Big Little League"? I think it was the former. Anyway, it was rated PG, but at some point there is this kid watching movies he is not supposed to watch in his hotel bedroom at night. A couple of scantily clad women came up trying to seduce a guy and my 8 year old ran from the living room saying: "I'm not gonna watch that, tell me when it's over" :D. Think I can keep it that way for another 20 years or so? :p
... and the will to show I will always be better than before.

little big league is a good flick about a 12-year-old with a encyclopedic memory of baseball inherits ownership of the minnesota twins and becomes the manager. look for cameos from paul o'neill, ken griffey jr, randy johnson and kevin elster..

I liked it :). I can't say I would have made it a date movie, but it was ok to watch with my son gobbling down popcorn :)

Most kids movies these days do a good job of making them enjoyable for kids & adults (thank goodness for those of us that are constantly watching them!) My son's current favorite is Underdog.

    My favorite kids movies-
    Harry Potter series
    Finding Nemo
    Ice Age

Finding Nemo was really great in the sense that all age groups could enjoy it. I really liked it.

there are a BUNCH of movies like that one. "Over the Hedge" is one I recently saw. really liked it. recommend it.

I don't know. I LOVE the Goonies, but had I not grown up with it, had it been a recent movie and not set in the 80s, I think I would care less.

If it came out today they would CGI the hell out of it and it would lose it's appeal. Like what Spielberg did with E.T.
    (add E.T. to the list)

I watched that a while back and I did not like it as much as I did when I was a child
  • I might've written in this thread before... whatever...

I can 'live with' many kids' movies. Home Alone, Finding Nemo and The Lion King are three of my favourite movies ever full-stop/period. Just fantastically made films.

In recent years I've been impressed with Bridge to Terabithia particularly. The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, although it was OK, really should've been more than it was.

    And probably other movies too.

I saw Homeward Bound a couple of weeks ago and I enjoyed it hehe...
    THANK YOU, LOSTDAWG!

Damn, there's a lot of hate for the goonies. I'm kind of surprised.

    Flushed Away

Its a british made claymation work.

    Bloody brilliant

Over the Hedge was great if only for the caffeen/drug referance part at the end of the movie.
I hate quotations. Tell me what you know.

And the Dolby Surround Sound scene was the funniest thing I've seen in a kids movie for a long time.. I was in stitches!

These cuts are leaving creases. Trace the scars to fit the pieces, to tell the story, you don't need to say a word.
