I was searching like hell for this thread to comment on what was the most incredible race I've ever seen. Just short of daughter winning gold in her competitive swimmeet in freestyle. Phelps going for those crazy 8 gold medals.

Lezak did an amazing job. It was definitely one of the most beautiful, exciting races I've ever seen.

    Also kudos to Sullivan.

The opening ceremony was awesome, the stadiums are awesome and the sport will be a spectacle.

Not sure what the Chinese people who had their homes knocked down, were given paltry compensation and now live in subways think. The rest of the world should have boycotted these games.

no offense to any french folks on here but the US mens team winning that relay, coming from behind, and that finish by Lezak was pretty incrediable. Espcially since that guy from the french team decided to talk smack! I was laying in my bed getting ready to fall asleep and thank goodness i stayed up.

it was one of the best experiences i've seen in the olympics. Watching Phelps get pumped up was awesome.

Too bad about the US mens soccer team giving up the win in at the end of the game.

I can't wait to see some of the archery and judo and other stuff like that. I am an olympic junkie!!

I have been trying to watch videos on NBC.com and can't get them to work :(

But, after watching the opening ceremonies, and then flipping channels, we came across "Blades of Glory" with Will Farrell and (oh, crap, what is his name?!?)...

The final scene in BOG was eerily similar to the opening ceremonies. I sh*t you not. The LED suits, the flying through the air...check it out if you don't believe me. :)

BTW, China did a kick-a job with it, and I really, really, really want one of those suits.

    Take care,

for anyone who missed the men's 4x100 freestyle relay that everyone's talking about w/ the epic comeback to defeat the smack-talking french, do yourself a favor and watch it here - you may have to download a plugin/player, but it's well worth it.
