    Zaun has had a better OPS+ in each of the last 3 seasons. I'm not sure about his D, but I know Lo Duca isn't impressive behind the plate.

    Mark Prior to the Padres for $1 Million. Wow, that may go down as one of the best signings of all time. Or it may be a wasted million. Definately worth taking a chance on, anyhow.

    i had that same discussion with a big met fan friend and why the mets are interested in kyle lohse when mark prior is available is beyond me. prior will be such a huge payoff if he's anywhere near the pitcher he was in 2003.

    I thought the Yanks should have went after him and tried to convert him into a reliever. I know it's a lot to ask an oft injured starter to pitch 3-4 days a week, but it would have been worth the risk. Fuck, they're paying Latroy Hawkins almost 4 times as much as Mark Prior is getting. I'd rather have Prior's arm, held together with dirt, spit, and duct tape over Hawkins on his best day. You're right though, the Mets should have made a move for him. he may miss 3-4 months, but how could you not take the chance?

    How about the Padre rotation for 2008? Peavy, Young, Maddux, Randy Wolf, and Prior (Won't pitch until May)
