And I thought of another one..Dressage!!
Getting a fucking horse to be obedient! I'm sorry but I can get my dog to sit on command and yes it is difficult, I however am not an Olympic athlete for being able to do so and neither should some jockey dressed in a suit!!

Yeah, maybe if the event involved tigers or bears so at least there was an element of danger. Any self respecting grizzly is going to maul the idiot trying to get them to high step. That I would watch.

Agreed, only danger could make this watchable...

I just realised that dressage footage had been viewed over 7 million times! What the hell is wrong with people!

There's walking as an event, but baseball and softball got voted out for 2012, yeah that makes sense. If Chicago gets the Olympics in 2016, how stupid would it be for them not to be included? Baseball is obviously huge in Chicago, and softball was invented in Chicago.

You shouldn't wear skirts on a podium...especially if you're taking a bow!

If they're getting rid of baseball, then they need to get rid of basketball as well...either make it for the amateurs again or get rid of it.

Yeah, I've always had mixed feelings about the pro basketball players in the games despite the fact that I am a huge basketball fan. It's cool to see them all on the same team, but it has also been kind of nice to see them get beat.

That's how I see it...they had their dominant NBA Dream Team run, then they had what they thought would be a dominant team and got beat. The whole novelty of it is over. The NBA game is played differently than the International game anyway. Give some college kids a chance to shine. They'd take the experience to heart moreso than the NBA players would I believe.

Maybe you're right, I don't know. I know how I and most ball players I know get in any competitive situation and even if I have nothing to gain, I give it my all. These guys do have something to gain and know they'll be a continued laughing stock if they lose again. So, I do think they will play their hearts out. But still, they are professional athletes and that seems to go against the spirit of the games. Other countries would have to abide by that as well. No way even a best of college players team beats the Spain's and Argentina's of the world today.

I will start it off with walking. This event is a disgrace, if you are not fast enough to run a marathon then just because you can walk at a brisk pace you are not an Olympian in my books

I would never eliminate walking! That's the funniest thing ever to watch!!! :D

Exactly who decides when a walk becomes a wog (walk/jog) anyway? Seems like a pretty fine line.

Of course the competitive heart will always be there. I'm a few years out of college since I've last played, and I still find myself struggling with a competitive attitude with anything I do. So that'll never go away in any of them.

But I mean the experience as a whole would be better for the college kids moreso than the NBA players take the whole experience as another day in the office until they're back on the court again. With just another press shoot, just another appearance.
