Geek Love !!! I can’t get over how good it is. I’ve only finished the first part but it’s basically a story of a circus family that have been torn apart and he story of their deformities and the lives they lead.

My latest read.  Excellent writing, very sad story about racism and greed.

Really terrifying to read the neglect and abuse that this girl and her brothers and sister suffered at the hands of their mentally ill Dad and the mom who did little to protect them.  This family was a prepper/survivalist strictly Mormon family living in Idaho about the same time as the Ruby Ridge incident.
Are we getting something out of this all-encompassing trip?

Seems my preconceptions are what should have been burned...

I read The Crossing, and I had to stop a lot. Every page I expected violence. It was tough for me. I will read Cities of the Plain to finish the triology.
