Looks interesting.  I've seen some of Weiner's books pass through but haven't read any yet.

I just finished this one, one of the best nature/animal related books I've ever read.  I just simply loved this book!  Lawrence Anthony, The Elephant Whisperer; My  Life with the Herd in the African Wild.

    Dear Lord....this one's rough.

He shot himself two weeks after he learned the novel was to be made into a movie.
His father said this book was his suicide note.

    Damn!

The movie was rough going enough- I imagine the book to be even more so, especially with knowing that happened.

Just started 'Roar' by Stacy T. Sims, PhD. A friend recommended it and so far I would do so as well. Basically, it's about women making the mistake of eating and training as if they were small men which doesn't make any sense biologically. It's really interesting, especially for women who participate in competitions.

Just finished this book. Debut novel by the author and it's great. Highly recommend it. Set in the old west/frontier times with subtle witchcraft elements that keep it moving. A very dark tale.
