GOOH! That's a lot of bones! Looks like it will depend on how good the next GT is before I decide to make that investment.
I don't like racing wheels anyway.
My buddy just got that one for $200 at directcanada.com though.

The dualshock 3 controllers feel much better for quality, and weight.
Damage is coming to prologue as a download (as is my understanding, at least) so the full game should have it. Might make the online worth bothering with ;)
yeah I bought a D3 controller when I bought the system and it does feel better, but still not as good as 360's.

    what games you play online?

COD4 (before it got scratched all to hell), H3, RS Vegas, Graw, the usual shooters. (360).
Generally I do the single player stuff and then get into the multiplayer. I'm almost done GTA4 so I'll be doing a little bit of online with that soon, theoretically.
I have more than a few games on the go now for SP.
Pretty much my only PS3 online game is Warhawk.

Honestly, of those people that I personally know that do not like the PS3 controller (Sixaxis or DS3) there is one thing they all have in common...they have large hands.

I do not, and I have no problems at all with the controller. My friends that do say it's just a bit too cramped and the sticks are a bit too far back.

    Oh well.

    My hands aren't large.
The sticks are my problem. Mostly for shooters.
The Sixaxis had enough signal problems for me to render it shitty regardless of the thumbsticks.
It's my blu ray remote now.

You haven't picked up the Blu-ray remote?
I gotta say, I never pick up add-ons and additional peripherals, etc because I think most are a waste....but the remote is really nice! Good quality, nice and simple lay-out, super easy to use,...def. recommended.

I've played COD4 on both systems. Both are the exact same game and the only gripe I have for the PS3 controller is the sprint feature. Other than that, I had no preference in controller (well, maybe I do prefer the PS3 controller as I'm used to it). :)

I haven't bothered to pick it up, nope ;)
I have seen it on sale for under 20 dollars a hundred times, but so far the sixcrapsis does fine.
I'm trying to use the thumbstick for steering in gt5prologue since they seem to have screwed up the d-pad for it, slow going.

for someone that doesn't like fps on consoles do you think warhawk is a waste? It looks fun online and I have been thinking about getting it.

It is going to be a tough decision with Madden coming up (ps3 on a 50" plasma with surround sound in the living room with clunky controllers or 360 with superior controller on 42 dlp in the basement)

Also, I would rather get a game or movie and deal with using the controller as a remote which works just fine.

I played the demo of uncharted and would like playing it better on a PC with keyboard/mouse. The game itself, is cool though.

I think the only thing that I don't like about the PS3 is the friggin controller. The analog sticks are too long and placed too far back. It is more of an unnatural grip and they feel awkward.

I dl'd the game Grid and like it far more than gt5 prologue

Grid might be my next purchase...

i'm a racing fan, period...i don't care if it's sim, arcade, racing action...they are all fun.

Warhawk is pretty fun, actually. It's got a bit of a cartoony feel to it, and the game seems pretty balanced.
It's also available cheap, so that helps.

Why not put both systems on the same tv?

I'm usually the same way. I'll avoid Grid for now though.
I'm really hoping for NFS to return to the Hot Pursuit days, or another Test Drive (Unlimited was great)...

Static images for prolonged periods of time mess up plasmas.
It is my understanding that plasmas have improved anti-burn in very well though.

same here. The drifting was a little difficult though. (at least in the demo)

Last night I had some free time to play some games (everyone went to bed early) and I ended up watching Planet Earth on bluray. I think I may be outgrowing games or else there just isn't anything that appeals to me.
Except hockey, football, and baseball games against someone else.

I may pick up if I see it cheap enough.

I put the xbox in the basement because the kids play and when my nephews come over they can have their own area. I am too lazy to drag the systems back and forth and also because I like a neat setup and don't want wires all over over.

Booom11: My son has left games paused for over 20 minutes and I have played games with static images and have not seen any sign of burn-in. The TV also has a built in pixel-shift, which shifts 4 pixels every two minutes.(not at all noticable). I think the problem was more with older generation plasmas.
The TV also has a black/gray/white sweep which I run a few times after playing games just for good measure.
