  • High 40's in Seattle all week? That's rough. Come to Chicago and see if you like winter still.

Not last year. By this time I had already been on the mountain a few times. However, a lot of years recently have been pretty poor...

So far it's only snowed at night. I want a good daytime storm that I can watch.

I love winter with a caveat. I'm not sure I'd like months of below freezing weather and snow and ice. I'd definitely like it more than the summer months though, but I truly enjoy fairly moderate extremes. If it could be between 20 and 70 year round I'd be happy and that's pretty much what we've got here. :) As long as it isn't too hot though I'm happy! :D

the only time i like winter is during the last few minutes in bed in the morning before youhave to get up. you are really warm, as well as your bed. everywhere else in the room is cold but there, and its the most comfortable part of the house.
they call them fingers, but i never see them fing. oh, there they go
  • Let's see freezing rain falling now. It will turn into snow in the early AM. Um this is our 3rd storm in less then a week. Could be a foot of snow on the ground by 2morrow nite. I don't really like winter right now.

    haha...yea.

when we lived in WA it was nothing like the winters we have hear in OH. not to say they don't get the same type of weather once in awhile...i do remember Bellingham making it on CNN for their record snowfall...just after we moved back home.

anyway, i love the winter also. just don't like the rain we have right now

    Esther's here and she's sick?

hi Esther, now we are all going to be sick, thanks
  • UPDATE:

Huge flakes falling outside. Oh I can't wait to wake up to this. ;)

It would be nice if you didn't have to go anywhere. ;) Otherwise, not so much. :)

I'm with you all!!! We haven't had a good snowstorm yet. I can't wait for it to puke snow - I love going for a walk at night during a snowstorm. The city feels abandoned. :D Then you go home, have a hot chocolate.... Good times!

The downtown outdoor rink in my town is open; I might go for a skate tomorrow...
  • I've never been a fan of winter, but two years ago I took my first ski lesson and last year I got a little better. Now this year my 5-year-old is on the ski team and we're looking forward to it this year. However, there is no snow yet! I'm ready for it to hurry up and get here!
I really screwed that up. I really Schruted it.
  • I love it too:) you can have so much fun in the snow!!!

though we haven't had a "real" snow fall here in years... just 6" and below....bring on the blizzards:D (and not the dairy queen kind....yet:p)

i love it... i love frost!!! it looks so nice and the air feels so clean!

i also for some weird reason have developed a penchant for real ales?!?! they just seem so wintery.. on a cold wintery evening i can think of nothing i'd rather be doing than sitting in a pub from the 1700's and nursing a pint of Bishops Talon or Foosty Nunplucker... obviously whilst watching a lesbian sex show.
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

You only like winter because you live in Seattle. I suppose I would prefer snow and cold to 24-7 rain too.

Seattle is the equivalent of a giant wet armpit.
