    I just picked it up and got a sweet deal on it at GameStop.

    I traded in two PS3 games (Ninja Gaiden Sigma and Tiger Woods '08) and got $20 each for a total of $40.

    Madden cost me $21!!

    I guess there is some promotion that if you bring in 2 exchanges, you will get $20 for them...no matter what the title.

    Works for me because I never play those games anyways! $21 for a new game = Awesome! :)

    Does this version seem actually worth a shit? I haven't played a great madden in 3,4,5 years. I'd be getting it for PS3, I'm just tired of wasting 60 bucks on some roster changes.

    Oh there's definitely more than roster changes here...

    I've only played a couple of games but so far it's light years beyond the 06, 07, & 08 versions.

    Pretty much the first true "next-gen" Madden.

    Agreed.
    My last Madden was '03 and this will be a good one.

    Do you have access to the PSN? There's a demo available and even though there isn't a lot of actual gameplay in it, it may show you enough to convince you.

    Got it last night for 360, and this is pretty realistic. I played my friend and I user picked him off and my guy almost fell to the ground only to put 1 hand on the ground to break his fall and keep running...awesome replay

    You can actually break tackles using the highlight stick, and on certain pass plays the camera angle is something they have never done for Madden before, especially when your WR beats a safety over the top

    Even though you can break tackles seems they slowed it down a little so there aren't as many 80 yard runs as before, and the graphics are best theve been

    Been enjoying it so far

    I actually got my for $12 as i traded in 3 games so can't really complain.

    Anyone know the easiest way to invite a friend to play on XBox Live? I havent played madden online since the ps2 days and it's much different now :)

    Put him/her on your friend list, everytime they are online you will see a little green light pop up on the bottom of your screen. Go to online play at the same time, its one of the game modes within Madden and you should see there screen name, challenge them.

    Also Madden '09 has online leagues..how cool is that

    sounds good, I'm assuming you mean that madden has it's own friends list? when i try it the way i would cod4 for instance the "invite to game" is greyed out.

    Before you play the game hit the middle button on your controller to get into the xbox live page, you can set your prefrences there and add buddies

    Then after u set it up, put the game in....update your rosters 1st...then scroll down the menu for online play and find your friends name..challenge them and then you should hear their voice over your headset

    Its a little tricky to explain cause I need to be looking at it, but it is easy

    You can also read up online and it will walk you through

    not happy about the absence of the passing window. finally get used to it and start using to my advantage (fake safety, put one guy deep and one short in it, etc) and they take it away. bullshit. here we go again with the quick slants on every play.

    The IQ test that measures how good you are at the beginning is a little skewed (especially since it tells you what buttons to hit to miss the virtual tacklers). It put me at the highest difficulty level and I got my butt handed to me. The good news is that you can still put the game on the default difficulty levels.

    The game plays great and is very realistic. I thought last year’s game suffered due to the absurd amount of fumbles which made me go 85/15 pass/run. So far, the fumbles are only occurring when I do something stupid.

    In case anyone is wondering if EA was going to bring back some of their most beloved features, you can be rest-assured that the A.I. 2-minute cheat boost has made it’s way back! That’s right folks, you can look forward to the computer controlled Rex Grossman going 7 for 7 in the last 37 seconds and the Bears kicking 53 FG to stab you in the heart. I knew EA would not let us down. Good times!

    What the hell is up with Rewind? I must admit, I'm still getting used to the controls (haven't had a Madden game in years!!!) and I've accidentally hit this a couple of times after a big play. Talk about annoying!

    Last night, I had a 3rd and 23. I picked it up with a beautiful catch and run...then I got excited and accidentally hit the Rewind button. Boom, gone! Of course I tried it again and got like 4 yards and had to punt. Grr!

    Good game, but there are a few things about it I find to be annoying/dumb.

    When you're at the controller select screen before every game, you can turn Rewind off.

    yeah, I learned to stay away from that button.
