Did anyone go out to get this at midnight?

I have the last few years, but actually stayed home tonight even though I'm more excited about the game this year than I have been in a VERY long time.

I went ahead and reserved the Collector's Edition so I could check out the Head Coach game as well, even though I doubt I'll have time to play it.

Plus, you get Madden 93 with updated rosters, so what's not to love? lol

    I was so bummed out when i heard there was no Madden fo the PC this year. That sucks!

    Not sure yet if for 360 or Ps3

    Downloading the update on my PS3 as we speak. It's been off my radar as I usually play NCAA, but I just rented it so I'm hoping for good things.

    will probably make the jump from PS2 to a PS3 this year once I get settled in my new place. The BluRay will be nice too. Have bought Madden every year for like the last 10 years, so will get it one way or another this year. Never been a 'get it at midnight' thing for me though....

    My PS3 name is the same as my board name. mca47

    I'm not sure how easy it is to connect yet...don't have the game just yet. I'll probably pick it up this afternoon.

    It would be pretty cool if we could get a AET Madden league going, but I'm not sure how many people on here play Madden.

    BTW I'm in the market for a blu-ray player, its either drop $300 for a stand alone, or extra $100 for a ps3

    Any suggestions

    This game is my crack cocaine. I cannot get enough. If I wasnt married and had no children, I would become what the kids on South Park became plaing worlds of warcraft...a smelly, shitting in my pants, unshowered, zit faced, emaciated, maddenite.

    Ok, maybe not that bad, but I could play this game for hours and hours.

    I still rock the PS2. looks sick for ps3 and 360.

    totally stoked. looking fwd to picking this up tonight.

    360 all the way!

    The only sports game I enjoy on my PS3 is The Show, as I prefer the 360 controller and XBOX Live over the PS3 offerings any day.

    The PS3 is still the best Blu-ray player on the market because of custom firmware via PS3 updates. You will always have the best and most current player with all the bells and whistles.
    Even if you don't want the PS3 for games (which would be silly...) get it for the best Blu-ray player on the market.

    I figured for $100 more it makes sense, wasn't too sure on the quality

    There were rumors they would make a 360 w/ blu-ray, those were shot down recently

    An aside from the Madden thread...
    Pioneer has developed a multilayer Blu-ray disc that can hold 500 GB of data. :eek:

    I feel into the HD DVD 360 trap...got about 20 movies...should have went with my gut and waited for blu ray

    Yeah, I had a PS3 but I held off on purchasing any Blu-ray discs until it became pretty clear it was over.

    Back to Madden...:)


    How is the AI this year? In the past, there was always "that play" you could use to gain a ton of yards. Have they upped the AI much for this year?

    I will add that the PS3 is pretty much the best Bluray player out there.
    But I only bought a few movies and they were used ($7-10) seeing that I have them on dvd as well.
    I think I have American Psycho,No Country for old men, Devil's Rejects, Full Metal Jacket, and Natural Born Killers.

    yeah, finally the Cowboys have a decent team and it translates to having a chance to win in Madden:)
    I don't know half the controls either really, and I like the 360's controller better as well, but the PS3 is connected to the 50" plasma in the living room. I am going to go through the training crap just to get to know the controls a bit. Probably wont get on until 9pm est or so.

    I've been looking at the Collector's Edition just sitting on my desk since I got back from lunch and it's killing me. I'm really impressed with the look and packaging of this version.

    All I know is, as soon as my son goes to sleep around 7:00, I know what I'll be doing for a while.
