    I've still got two sweet cats that I took in when their owner died 3 months ago. Seems that nobody wants them. They are about 2 years old and very sweet and love to cuddle up in your lap. I'd keep them, but already have too many cats.
    The only people we should try to get even with...
    ...are those who've helped us.

    Right 'round the corner could be bigger than ourselves.

    Yep.. they choose you, not the other way around. I have been 'chosen' by all my cats (except a pair who were given to me a very long time ago for my birthday after my cat died - one is still with me). Even the latest two whom we saw a few hours old... every time my daughter went near the mommycat and the kittens, those two turned their head towards her....

    Monkey is a good name for her... she is lovely and seems like a handful! Just like kittens should be... :D

    As you will have probably guessed, I'm a softie for cats.

    Congrats on the new family member. Yes, a cat can not be replaced, but what a wonderful way to honor Cateeto - giving another cat a home :)

    If my mom did that I would have flipped on her big time. Very up front family. But alas my mom passed away then my cat of 18 years passed away 2 years later.

    Life was definitely sucking there for a while. He was my little buddy. Sadly I've resigned myself from getting any more pets. I've had to put down 3 dogs and a cat now, and it just keeps sucking harder. The last one (cat) just did me in.

    Maybe one day...maybe.

    That is great that you guys got a little kitten...she is so adorable!! Love the name you gave her 'kitty monkey' and yes, pets are like children...you give them unconditional love and they give it back to you. :)
