because she was a bitch that only wanted him around when she desperately needed someone. she went to him and sobered herself up. she got what she needed, paid him back with a lay, then was gone. then she finds out she's sick with an incurable disease. he was the only solid as a rock type of person left in her life when she was dying. where else was she going to go? if she hadn't contracted aids, i think she would have never gotten back into his life.
i never really cared for that character. self-centered bitch."Have you ever.........pooped a balloon?"

But the thing that really bugs me is that Bubba died. Coolest character (after Forrest of course)... Shrimp is the fruit of the ocean, you can boil it, sauteé it, fry it... you have orange shrimp, coconut shrimp, shrimp caserole... Dammit, I feel like shrimp now.
if you listen to him name all the shit you can do with shrimp, he never once says shrimp cocktail."Have you ever.........pooped a balloon?"

yeah, but all you do with shrimp cocktail is dip it into cocktail sauce.
tastey, but not worth making the big screen!0 -

I don't think neither of them knew what "true love" was. Jenny was abused by her father and most of her boyfriends, so she was never used to being loved by a person like Forrest and didn't know to deal with that.
And Forrest just didn't have the swagger to win her over until it was nearly too late. But that was actually more to due with Jenny finally thinking straight.
One of the first movies that ever made me cry.The only bad thing about this movie is that it beat out Pulp Fiction for Best Picture and Best Director.
1 of that catagory should have went to Pulp Fiction!PJ- 04/29/2003.06/24,25,27,28,30/2008.10/27,28,30,31/2009

Jenny never really knew what she wanted until it was too late. Her father sexually abused her and screwed her up, and then she got involved with a bunch of different guys who treated her like dirt, so when Forrest asked her to marry him I think she ran away out of shame; maybe she felt she didn't deserve a man as good as him.
I always wondered about something, though...did she have AIDS before she slept with Forrest and had the baby, or did she get it after her son was born? Cause it didn't seem like her son had it, but they never really said.Chicago 2000 : Chicago 2003 : Chicago 2006 : Summerfest 2006 : Lollapalooza 2007 : Chicago 2009 : Noblesville (Indy) 2010 : PJ20 (East Troy) 2011 : Wrigley Field 2013 : Milwaukee (Yield) 2014 : Wrigley Field 20160 -

You make plenty of sense..life is fucking difficult..just feel bad for my boy is all....and still feel that she was fundamentally a selfish little fucking bitch..

Forrest is not a smart man but he knows what the fuck love is!!!! In fact he is smarter than most of us dumb motherfuckers here...Jenny had a shitload of problems in which Forrest couldn't connect with as he knew simply that he loves her and that should be enough..
And please don't ever bring up Pulp Fiction in the same sentence..'I want to hurry home to you
