'In Bruges'

  • Hubby and I rented the movie last night. We really enjoyed it. We both want to visit Bruges. I too like the dark comedy genre. And the ending "I want to live" was too good. The odd part though is after Harry shot Ray and the midget, and Harry was getting ready to blow his own head off because he thought he had shot "a kid" it looked like Ray was trying to tell him "it's not a kid." Why would he do that? I hated Harry, and I wanted him to blow his own head off. Anyway, the characters were three dimensional and interesting.

I love Medieval towns and wouldn't mind a visit there. But if they really wanted the "fairy tale town" as they kept mentioning they should have gone to the Czech Republic and called it "In Cesky Krumlov" ;)http://wikitravel.org/en/Cesky_Krumlov

Hmm I guess it doesn't really have the quite same ring, does it?

Heh, this is playing every night at this cinema in Bruges I went to.

Seems to be quite divisive amongst the locals on whether they liked it or not.

Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

First time I've heard it described as dull, but anyway that's too bad for you..

In some films you have to watch the whole film to see what happens.
Anyways, thats kind of the point of it, that they talk about how boring it is, and then nothing happens for a while, and then it all kicks off.

It is such a brilliant film. I was really surprised. Love the scene with the racist midget drug binge!!

oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.
