Douche...

One of my least favorite terms thrown around on the message pit on a very regular basis... it actually seems to show up a lot on every message board I have ever read. I have only been to New Jersey one time, and in Jersey is the only place I have ever actually heard people use that term on a regular basis, speaking it out in a negative way toward someone else.
For all you people on here who throw that term around often to insult others, do you also use it in your daily conversations in real life, like chatting to your friends, boss, etc? Also, do you actually hear other people say it? If so, are you located outside of Jersey?
I've also heard Douchebaggery, also in Jersey... that one is kinda funny!

Yes, I've heard a lot of people say it...and long before I lived in Jersey. ;)

I'm a big fan of 'douchebaggery". I say that at least once a week...lol. :D
  • I definitely use it, and I definitely agree there are a lot of them in Jersey.

I hate when people use Pansy as a derogatory term, but that's because it was my great grandmother's name and she totally kicked ass.

I kinda like douche, however I think I use it in face to face conversation once in a blue moon.

  • I use it sometimes. "Douchebaggery" is a good one, that'll be added to the rotation.
I'll ride the wave where it takes me.

    I agree.

You know who always inspires me to use the word "douche"?

Whenever I"m watching one of those MTV reality shows - specifically the real world or "the gauntlet", there are pretty much always about 5 or 6 guys that force me to call them douches over the course of a 30 minute program. :D

I hear it occasionally and use it very rarely, I don't mind hearing it but I don't like saying it so I try not to.

I'm ok with it though if people use instead of 'gay' as derogatory. I can not stand that.

Yeah, I didn't mean everyone in Jersey was running around saying it, but I heard it quite a few times...
It sure is strange the way certain states have certain words they use:
In WI, we call Coca-Cola, Sprite, Root Beer, etc Soda, not "pop", "coke", etc, well coke is coke....
We also refer to water fountains as bubblers...
I haven't noticed any strange dialects in CO, other than the way the annoying hippies talk... mahn instead of man, claaass (like la la la) instead of class, etc... I hate they way vowels sound in CO! I really hope it is the elevation!
  • I have to say that, that word is highly used in my vocab. I can't think of a day that goes by where I don't refer to someone as that.

I grew up 15 mins outside of jersey. I say it so much that my mom uses it now too. HAHA

Does that involve a beer bottle?
  • I use it a lot! and when I say a lot I mean a whole fuckload lot! I also use, "Douche-y" "Douchbag" "douchelips" doucheinator" (that is only for the current governor) "douche-stepping" "douchebaggage" "doucheface" and "make you piss douche water" (that one is a threat)

    :D

and the rhetorical question that i use a lot is "well isn't he a fuckton of douche-ability???" when I am really just seeing if I am the only one that feels hei s the crown prince of Doucheland. ;)

I use it both on message boards and in regular conversation for just this exact reason.
