ok...technically I dumped her but I got a viscious 3 page email that called me "immature" for being "obsessed with Pearl Jam" among other offenses..

I was driving in today listening to "All or None" from the accoustic pre-set at 7/11/03...

This is a friggin' classic!

I suppose if I was obsessed with Opera or Josh Grodin, I would be more "mature"???

I get this "immature" comment about my love for PJ all the time..

WTF?

I'm 43 and have been following PJ since 1992.

I'm not going to suddenly develop a taste for Big Band music or Classical music any time soon...

Like i told her... "I'mmmmmmmmmmm Gone!"

:)

That is something...I could think of a lot of hallmarks of immaturity in a guy but loving Pearl Jam isn't one. But then again I am biased :)

My friend dumped his gf after MSG 1 in 2003. He couldn't believe how amazing the show was and his gf was like eh, it was ok. And he was like if a girl I've dated for two years can't realize how great a show that was and how important PJ is to him then she's not worth it.

So the next morning after the show, he calls me up and says he has an extra ticket to MSG2 for free because he broke up with his gf. I feel bad they broke up, but was glad I scored a free ticket to the Garden. ;)

you know i was under the opnion that i was blown off for pearl jam on two occasions. upon reflection i realise it had nothing to do with pearl jam...but at the time, i sure was blaming them.

    TS: What's that ?

BRODIE: Like it? I framed it before you got here.

TS: Oh, my god ! Rene dumped you.

BRODIE: Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned for sega.

TS: Wow, look at this laundry list of complaints.
"You have no direction; No college ambition; No job prospect."

BRODIE: It also says I have no dick, but you'll notice that follows the financial question, proving once more what women really look for.

    TS: She calls you callow!

BRODIE: You say that like it's bad.

TS: Well, it means "frightened and weak-willed."

BRODIE: Really ? Shit. That was the only part of the letter I thought was complimentary.

sorry to hear about your break-up, locked! :(

How good was that game he was playing? I bet there were a lot of relationships killed because of NHL '94! That game was amazing! They still have yet to improve on hockey games made after 1997.

My wife used to roll her eyes when she first met me about my obsession and seeing them on back-to-back nights of a concert

But....after 5 years with me she's actually disappointed now when she can't make a concert

She is going to Camden II this year
