edit: please accept my humble apology if you were offended by the subject. I was sort of kidding around just to get a bored person at work's reply. Although, I am glad that I did plan for the future since it became necessary to help out someone unfortunate.

somebody asked about name brands on here the other day. I was unfamiliar with them.
Yep, I plan for the future. Just remember that when you pay $400 - $1,000 for your clothes or purse. I don't.
I'm so glad I've been cheap, it really helped me when gas was so high.

people on here are filthy rich?
I listen to the news and I read magazine article about the average person's credit card debts. Pretty bad (at interest over 20 percent)
I guess you are a rich musician wearing leather pants

I have a kitchen aide mixer from 1998 that will probably last a good 60 more years. Those things just never break down. A cheap hand held mixer may last a few years.
My mom gave me one of her hand-me-down coats in 1985, and I still wear it. It's a peacoat that never goes out of style. I just take it to the tailors if it shows too much wear and tear. It's definitely worth the money to sew the holes or the seams then to get a new coat.
I get your point, though. Sometimes it is the brand name, and brand name only, that inflates the price. It's a trial and error approach in some cases. Definitely adds spice to life.

aww..well that is true..why spend a fortune on a pair of pants and you may not even fit in them later on. Im fine with tar jay

I'm rich, biyatch!
Hmm...I'm rich now...looks like it's time for me to get my account deleted. Us richies don't hang around these here parts.
but seriously...i am thankful now I have lived below my means.

I agree about the appliances. But I found a name brand vaccuum cleaner at a discount store for $68.
I would be scared to carry a decent looking expensive purse, the robberies are increasing in these bad economic times. my friend's expensive purse's strap broke (and so did her heart :(
but my original post was about clothes/purses...

Hell no. You think I will rip a hole in my $10,526 mattress??
Where I'm not ugly and you're lookin' at me
My mattress is solid gold and not at all comfortable... but SOLID GOLD and that's the important thing.

i dont even have a mattress... i pay 16 women from Tanzania (widely regarded as the country where the women have the world's softest hands) to hold me up whilst i sleep.
1 of them is paid extra to collect the tissue each morning.
Not even all the money in the world can make me the least bit attractive to the shallowest girl out there.
Damn, ouch, that'd be a huge ego strike to someone!
Clearly, I was sold a bill of goods on this solid gold bed. I've thought your offer over and yes, I will trade it for your 16 women.

I was the one who asked about some designer wallets, and I am happy to buy nice things for my girlfriend.....luckily, I didn't have to go sell my blood, or live on Ketchup sandwiches, to make up for the wallet's dminishing effect on my wallet.
I plan for the future as well, thats why I have done my best to carve out a career that allows me to live a nice life now, and hopefully in the future as well.
that's sweet!
ok now the women will want you instead of merlin....
