I know who they are. They used to hand out free scorecards at Shea Stadium back in the day as you came off the seven train.

we're getting 'citypasses' which are $74 and get you into moma, the guggenheim, the met, natural history museum, empire state building and a harbour cruise. great deal, eh?

my personal recommendation for the guggenheim:

first, stand in awe at the bottom floor...looking up. :D
secondly, ride the elevator to the top, and walk the spiral down viewing all the art as you go along. be sure to take in all the varying perspectives of the place as you go.
finally, be in awe of it all. :p

i hope they have a great exhibition for ya.....but the architecture alone is sooo worth it!

thanks, i'm pretty excited about it. i just started taking interior design last month and it seems like most of the definitive designs mentioned in the textbook are in new york, either as architecture, or in the collection at the museum of modern art. exciting! like a huge field trip... but i get to do whatever i want. plus i really like frank lloyd wright and i've never been to one of his buildings.

Not anywhere near your apartmentt, but you must go to Veniero's bakery in the East Village! Italian bakery that has been around for 100 years! I learned about it from someone on here and have to stay away to avoid putting on the weight I worked so hard to take off. Best Cheesecake and cannolis in the city! Just to clarify

even tho many of us Native NYers use the same term " Grand Central Station "' out of both habit and history,

but the proper terminology is Grand Central Terminal , because all of the trains winding up in this terminal are at thier destination- they do not go on to other stations.
This is the terminating point of their trip-

thus the " Grand Central Terminal " .

do yourself a favor and try " The Tasty Pastry " on 13th Avenue and 79th ( across from St Brigettes Church and up the street from the World Famous Dyker Heights Golf Course )

They have some of the absolute BEST Napoleans and Canolli in NYC !
