Donati signing for celtic by the end of the week. Never thought appiah would end up joining anyway, but heard that's been abandoned as he was going to end up costing 15 million plus over the next couple years. Craig Beattie away to west brom for a million, will be happy to get that for him!

Apparently mcculloch signing for rangers for 2 million. i wouldnt pay more than 1 million for him. They are also upping their bid for naismith apparently as well after their insulting first estimate. At the end of the season although celtic had won i thought that if rangers bought wisely they would be in a much stronger position but celtic have been far more adventurous and intelligent with their purchases so far in my opinion. If i were a rangers fan id be pissed off with their lack of commitment when trying to bring quality players to the club.
People say im paranoid. Well, they dont say it, but i know that's what they are thinking.

Bent signs for Spurs. 16.5M.....bloody incredible that they have paid that kind of money for a guy who has yet to prove anything. The price will be a huge burden around his neck, if he goes a few games at the start of the seaosn without scoring the press will be all over him.

Michel Platini, new head of FIFA or some such shit has told how he wishes to change the qualification ties of the champs lge. He wants the 3rd & 4th placed teams in england, spain and italy to face each other as opposed to weaker sides from places like latvia, belurus, slovenia. Presumably this will ensure sides from smaller nations get further in the competition spreading the cash a little more evenly.
sounds ok in principle but I dont like in principle the want for change within sport(they render past comparisons of teams and era's as obsolete). The idea injects socialist ideals into football which may not be a good thing.

Good point......and even from the perspective of the weaker sides and clubs I wonder how much they would support such a move. The oppurtunity for them to sale tickets and create season ticket packages that include a major Euro club side game has to create a solid marketing option for them.

Ive always thought its ridiculous that the 3rd and 4th place teams get in from any leagues anyway, its the CHAMPIONS league. Maybe go back to calling it the European Cup.

first thierry now freddie.....geez the younglings are definitely gonna have to pull finger this season. still think they have a chance as long as they can stay consistent, the skills are there & with van persie back (fingers crossed that he's in form & remains uninjured) & even walcott showing promise pre-season hopefully the goals will come. eduardo should be good too, with the service our midfield can give i think a goal poacher will be just what we need up front. come on you gunners!!!

arsenal aside, can't wait for the new season :):):)

Dunno why anyone would want anelka anyway. Talented player but the most disloyal i have ever seen. His brother ochestrates a lot of it though, seeing he is a money grabbing bastard and also his agent.

reckon the Arsenal will still get 4th, wouldnt be surprised if it finishes the same top 4 in the prem. Itll be interesting to see how Keane & Sven will do this season.

Yeah, his brother is a pain in the ass, but we don't need West Ham unsettling him. They are not in his list of teams to leave for. Plus at this point we could not buy a replacement of equal value.

Bolton have said that 13m will get Anelka......I think thats a bit steep, he has a look of disinterest about him on the pitch which irks fans, not sure if he has got a 25goal season in him either.

Wouldnt pay that for him. Henry is a year older and cost a couple million extra but he is a quality player and has a good attitude, if i was a manager i would always avoid players who move around at the quickest opportunity, players like Anelka or Bellamy for example.

van persie has been looking damn fine during pre-season, did you see his winning goal vs inter???? oh my god, i must've watched that 10 times & still couldn't figure out what he did with his feet?! outstanding. i think him & adebayor will work well together this year.
