I was wondering too! I liked how you could stow it away if you need more space...

Or how he would stand and watch it for hours. Michael was right about the beer sign, it did tie the whole room together.

I really like the oaky afterbirth of that wine, too.

Loved how Pam kept Jim at the party even though his "apartment was flooded"... too funny!

    An awesome episode last night.

I liked the episode, maybe even loved it. But I thought it was really weird, almost to the point of being uncomfortable.

I think I know what you mean. The whole Jan and Michael thing was a bit over the top for em....if that's what you were referring to.

it's funny because my friend that turned me on to the Office has a tv like that in his living room. He has a big living room and a 24inch flat screen hooked up to high def.

When I saw that I texted him "man that is awful familiar "

Yes, that is what I was referring to. If it wasn't over the top it was pretty close. I guess it was the references to domestic violence. Right away, at the beginning, when someone pointed out that the sliding patio door had been broken. I knew right away that Jan did it. Then she broke the tv, and she makes him sleep on the thingy at the end of the bed, she monopolized the two extra rooms, etc. I don't see anything wrong with making a comedy out of anything (even domestic violence), but this made me uncomfortable for some reason. Poor Michael. I don't really want them to change his character too much, but then again this kind of fits him, i.e. putting up with the control and Jan's angry outbursts.

I thought Michael broke the door running after the Ice Cream truck....

As funny as last nights episode was..I think they are on the brink of jumping the shark..but that is only my opinion.

My first thought was that was a lie to cover up the violence. The stereotype is that both parties always make up lies to explain injuries or damage. However, on second thought I figure the ice cream story could be true. Because the explanation was that Jan is a "clean freak" so she had the plate glass so clean he thought it was open. So this would have been another way of getting across that Jan has "issues." But I'm still thinking that Jan threw something when she got mad and broke it. Future episodes may deal with Micheal trying to get away from her and getting a restraining order or something. My hunch - but I am usually wrong on that type of stuff.

They are producing a spin-off of the show for next year, so you may not be far off.
