True, but do you seriously think anyone gives a shit about the Brewers? I mean, they do now that they are in the post season. Middle of summer, Miller Park is full of Cub fans, a.k.a Wrigley North. If they even make it to the World Series (yeah, right) it'll be the least rated Series ever (right after the White Sox!)

Do you feel better now? ;)

Better luck next year buttercup. lol

It wouldn't be fare ripping you Cub fans right now. Serious what the fuck happened to your team? I was for sure thinking they had a good chance this year. I would be more pist off then hurt right now if I was a Cubs fan.

Sorry guys and I do mean that for the most part.

As much as it pains me to say this, and it really, really does, at least Dusty won a playoff game, and series.

I am going to regret saying this in April, but right now I can totally understand why people rip on Cubs fans. We are idiots.

We go to the games, we buy the shirts, we watch ALL the games, we keep track of every little news item and stat, we are constantly on the defensive (which happens if you live in Chicago and you're know a lot of Sox fans), and what does that loyalty get you???? Fucked in the Ass!

I mean, it's not like it's been 20 or 40 or even 60 years since they won. IT'S BEEN 100 YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get it together, assholes! Give your city and your fans what they have been waiting for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So anyway, how do you think the Bulls will do this year?

Angels? You think they are going to win 3 straight, including the next two in Fenway?

As for Fukidome ... man, Cubs fans were going to build a statue of that guy after opening day and the first moth of the season ...

Anyway ... Cubs aren't far off ... their fans should "keep hope alive" ....

    Oops, I meant Boston.

    Was a long day... :)

    Get off the ledge!!!

I love how everyone wants to get rid of Soriano and Fukudome and the whole team. We are still looking for scapegoats. There is a lot of blame to go around here.

Bottom line LA played much better and deserved to win the series. Poor defense and no clutch hitting at all. Look at the numbers, this team is pretty damn good and I am not sure what they shoudl change in the offseason. They need to sign Dempster and Wood but offensively what should we do? Get rid of our RBI machine Aram?

We scored more runs than any team, ranked 1st in RBIs, OBP and 2nd in BA.

As for Soriano, a lot of people hate him probably because of his $$$. I am not sure I want to dump his 30hrs and 75 RBIS (In the leadoff spot) He missed some time this year too. Who would we replace him with? Manny? Why did Boston get rid of him? He is clutch but he will be asking for big bucks just like Soriano.

It hurts now but life goes on people. Hey, Forte looks pretty good doesn't he?

Again, if attendance and ratings brought World Series rings than the cubbies would have about 20. But, they don't. GO CHI-SOX!!!!!!! It's Blackout Monday!!!!!

Have Cub fans ever thought why the Yankees let Soriano go? How many rings does Soriano have? 0!!!!

i don't feel sorry for Cubs fans and you want to know why? Michael fucking Jordan - so the Cubs haven't won in 101 years, you had arguably the greatest basketball player of all time and won 7 titles in what 9 years in your city. I'll take that over 25 years and 4 teams with no titles in Philly.

The Cubs without Soriano would have made the playoffs this year.
The guy is flat out worthless when it comes to the playoffs or a big situation. He has been his entire career. Fukudome was terrible the last half of the season. Below average pitchers made him look ridiculous at the plate. I guess I don't want them to get rid of the guy, but he should not have been starting games at the end of the year...and especially in the playoffs.

The first two games were pathetic, and you're right it's easy to point fingers, but the fact remains that Soriano sucks when the team needs him most, and Fukudome shouldn't have been starting in the playoffs...or the last half of the season for that matter.

I beleive they did not just give him away. The Yankees got A-rod for him so If the Cubs can get Arod for Soriano lets do it.

He has 3 hits for the Cubs in the postseason and thought he did OK for the yanks in 2001 but cant remember that far back.

I cant defend him totally but I truly beleive that if he was not on this team we still would have lost 3 in a row to LA anyways. Just saying it is not his fault.

I am trying to think of someone I cant point the finger at for this collapse.
    How bout Reed Johnson?

I thought Pinella did a particularly bad job of managing.... leaving Dempster in too long, handled the Fukodome thing poorly, etc. Yet, nobody says shit because he's "Sweet Lou."

If you look back a few pages after game 1 you can see how I thought Lou messed up. Theriot batting 8th with Fuk batting 2nd did not make sense to me. He had Theriot batting 8th in game 3 with Fontenot (who was hot) batting 2nd. ]

But who am I. Lou has the experience and I would have to think he had good reasons to do that and it did not work out.

As a Cub fan I have to admit if we played good baseball LA woudl still have been tough to beat. It just sucks that we made it easy for them.

I'm pretty sure, statistically the best record has NEVER won the world series.. the playoffs are a whole new season..
'98 Yanks and '07 Sox did....

    '08 Angels did not :p.
