I will be there wed!! Cant wait.

Hope to kick the Brewers ass in the next round. Kind of sucked watching that today. Mets blow. It would have been cool to close out Shea with a Cub win in game 3 of the NLDS. It will be fun to watch Manny and Maddog for LA.

    GO CUBS!!!

Also john Kruk said we do not have confidence in z that is why we are startind dem p first. not the fact that demp has been lights outa at wrigley.

I like the 530 start. Gets me out of work earlier and gets me home at a decent hour.

The 8:30 start kinda sucks for me Thursday driving down from Milwaukee. Guess I will work a little later than noon on Thursday and then come in a little later Friday. GO CUBS GO!!!!

Lord, please.......PLEASE...............let us not have a collapse like last year!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ryan Dempster said in spring training that they were going all the way, please tell me that he wasn't lying.

Like, what would we do if they won it all?? I think it be the first time since 9/11 that I would see my hubby cry. And I would be so blinded by tears, I don't think I would notice. I am almost wishing for October to be over so I can get rid of all my anxiety!!!!!!

To NO Cubs fans surprise, already down 0-1. And headcase Zambrano coming up Thursday.

The Crowd certainly did suck tonight, pretty sad display when you can't get excited more then a fucking April Pirates game. But thats what you get when all the rich fuck-os get tickets. Are you serious, booing Dempster? If it wasn't for him we might not have even been in the race you fucking idiots. Just sit there and cry in your beer like I did.

Cubs certainly deserved the loss, LA outplayed them in every aspect (for you Dodger fans that want to come here and rip on us, we'll do that for ourselves).

Fukudome starting was a bad idea, but batting 2nd was insane. Especially with how terrible Soriano, DLee and Aramis were in the playoffs last year. No surprise that DP-Lee hit into his signature double play. Thats like 4 easy outs every god damn time thru the lineup.

I did expect more from Dempster, way too many walks, that was a Zambrano performance. But seriously it reminded me of what Lilly did last year in Arizona. Great regular season, then shits himself in the postseason. Sadly even with all the walks, he still should have gotten out of the jam. Still wouldn't have mattered much with the Cubs only scoring 2 runs.

But please don't give me that shit about the Cubs curse, or Vedders song. That shit was done last year too. You're either good enough to win, or you aren't. No stupid billy goat or folk song lore will make you lose.

So Cubs luck, Sox will win tomorrow eh?

Agreed a pathetic effort tonight, from the team and especially the joke of a crowd. I'll be there for game 2 and it sure as hell better be a better crowd. Stand the F up and clap an cheer with two strikes. But like you said, with the prices it's mostly the rich corporate whores who know nothing about baseball. Demp didn't do great with all the walks but the offense was pathetic. A combined 0 for 8 from our 1 and 2 hitters, not gonna cut it. Soriano was swinging at absolute garbage. All Lowe had to do was throw it low and way outside and that stupid overpaid fuck would still swing at it. Fukudome should not have been hitting 2. It's like last year, no offense at all. It's only one game but my fear seems to be a reality. They clinched too early and they haven't played a meaningful game in almost 2 weeks and it's hurting them. Must win tomorrow with Z on the hill. If they don't pull it out you can pretty much kiss the season goodbye.

I was there last night and thought the crowd was fine up until the grand slam. You can hear a pin drop after that. By no means is it the fans fault that we lost.

This loss has to be on Dempster. 7 walks is unaccaptable and I felt he could have been lifted for PH the inning before he walked the bases loaded and served it up to Loney. We had 2 on base when he came up and he was at 85 pitches (Most of them balls).

We did have 9 hits. I dont remember how many we were getting on the dbacks last yeay but think we did not have 9 hits in 1 game. I remeber a lot of DPs. I had Theriot penciled in at #2 and almost Shat my Pants when Fukudome was announced. Theriot is our best hitter and to have him at #8 in the lineup did not make sense to me. Lou must have wanted him at the top to take a few extra Pitches or maybe Theriot at #8 so he can get on before Soriano.

Dont give up yet Cub Fans. There was a negative vibe after the slam and I did see a lot of people leaving early. Big Z tonight!!! Hopefully he is bringing his A game and not his Z game. I like our chances against Billingsly but we need the pitching.

It was just Game 1 guys, no need to panic yet. Tonight is a must-win however, yet with Zambrano on the mound at home, I like your chances. Yeah, losing game 1 puts you in a hole, but don't look at it as you need to win 3 in a row or 3 of 4. Take it a game at a time; win tonight, take it out to LA. Win just one out there and you're back in Wrigley for a guaranteed game 5. I think you guys will get the bats going tonight, so a lot will depend on Zambrano.

Just got back from that pathetic display of so called baseball. I'm tired and extremely PO'd. It's one thing to get beat, and it's another to not even show up, and what I saw tonight was a team that didn't even show up. I'll tip my hat to Z, he pitched a hell of a game, despite the fact he had no offensive or defensive help. Those IF errors were plays little leaguers could make. Lastly Fukudome should never, never play for the Cubs again. Truly embarassing watching him at the plate. Why Fontenot was not called to pinch hit for him late when we had runners on 1st and 3rd with 2 outs is beyond me. It's not over yet but it appears that this year was a complete waste.

I love the Cubs, but I will so agree with you on that.

Ugh, I don't even want to get started, I am emotionally exhausted. I feel like I'm going through a divorce!!!!!

    Yeah, it's simply pathetic!

    Fuckin' Cubs!

I doubt it would happen, but I could just see Harden winning tomorrow and then them picking up the 4th game only to play like they did last night in game 5.

But more realistically they will probably lose by at least 6 tomorrow.

    Fuckin' Cubs!

It'll be the Cubs because they play Saturday! The Sox don't get swept until Sunday.

It's so f'n pathetic. Both will be out by the end of the weekend and the Bears will probably miss the playoffs all together this year.

Bad year for sports in Chicago! :(

So much for the Windy City Series this year...
