Curfew at MSG?

Just checked the MSG website. The NBA draft is being held at the Wamu Theater @ MSG. The length of Wednesday's show will not be affected by the draft.....so relax...and enjoy!"All the rusted signs we ignore throughout our lives"--Ed0

In '03 the first nite they played till 1145, hit the stage at 9. The 2nd nite they came on at 845 and played till about 1120ish, So they were probably told 1145 is much too late so they came on 15 minutes earlier the next nite.
Im hoping this time we get an 845 till midnite show! 3 hours 15 minutes bring it!!!!!!!0 -

I never understood people who do that. It seems absolutely ridiculous to me! Why are people in such a rush to get everywhere that they can't just relax for a little while. I personally like a little bit of time to digest the show before I get back to rushing around like a madman. It also seems kinda insulting to the performers to get up and leave before the show is over. I've seen people leave a neck and neck hockey game in the last couple of minutes...I just don't get it. I also like leaving the stadium at the same time as everyone else... there's always this great vibe, and everyone is excited about the show they just saw. It makes for a complete experience.0 -

I second that. If I was a rockstar I'd throw in a marathon concert once in a while.0 -

Yeah, the NBA draft is in the WAMU theatre, so that shouldnt have any effect on the Wednesday show.

Well for me it depends on the venue if the parking is shitty and will be hell to get out and I have work in the morning, then I am out of there. I am sure Ed understands2000-10-28 San Bernardino

My friend and I were going to miss the train back on Metro North if we didn't leave, so we didn't see it. Thank goodness, I got to see it on DVD!

If the place was soooo shitty that I was going to have to leave early ... I probably wouldn't go in the first place.
The point of going to a show is to see a show ... not to see how fast you can get out of the parking lot.everybody wants the most they can possibly get
for the least they could possibly do0 -
Maybe thats why the official start time is 845. I noticed at Hartford its 915 which stikes me as late, particularly if they start late. But back to MSG, usual curfew is 11. I can't think of a band that has gone to midnight, so my guesstimate is end at 1130 ish.0

Bruce is a god. During the "Born in the USA" tour it was not uncommon for him to play 4-hour sets. That he still plays 2hour-45 minute sets now is truly amazing. He'll probably play 3-hour shows when he's back in Jersey this July.Camden - 5/28/06; Camden - 6/20/08; MSG - 6/25/08; Newark - (Ed Solo) 8/7/08; Philly - (Ed Solo) 6/12/09; Philly - 10/30/09; Philly - 10/31/09; Newark - 5/18/10; MSG - 5/20/10; MSG - 5/21/100 -
11PM curfew is wrong information.
I think 11:30PM is right.0 -

Adam Sandler had some good insight into this issue in the movie Reign Over Me. "So what, so you go to work tired tomorrow".0
