Yeah, the NBA draft is in the WAMU theatre, so that shouldnt have any effect on the Wednesday show.

I never understood people who do that. It seems absolutely ridiculous to me! Why are people in such a rush to get everywhere that they can't just relax for a little while. I personally like a little bit of time to digest the show before I get back to rushing around like a madman. It also seems kinda insulting to the performers to get up and leave before the show is over. I've seen people leave a neck and neck hockey game in the last couple of minutes...I just don't get it. I also like leaving the stadium at the same time as everyone else... there's always this great vibe, and everyone is excited about the show they just saw. It makes for a complete experience.

Well for me it depends on the venue if the parking is shitty and will be hell to get out and I have work in the morning, then I am out of there. I am sure Ed understands

My friend and I were going to miss the train back on Metro North if we didn't leave, so we didn't see it. Thank goodness, I got to see it on DVD!

If the place was soooo shitty that I was going to have to leave early ... I probably wouldn't go in the first place.

The point of going to a show is to see a show ... not to see how fast you can get out of the parking lot.

Maybe thats why the official start time is 845. I noticed at Hartford its 915 which stikes me as late, particularly if they start late. But back to MSG, usual curfew is 11. I can't think of a band that has gone to midnight, so my guesstimate is end at 1130 ish.

Bruce is a god. During the "Born in the USA" tour it was not uncommon for him to play 4-hour sets. That he still plays 2hour-45 minute sets now is truly amazing. He'll probably play 3-hour shows when he's back in Jersey this July.

  • 11PM curfew is wrong information.

    I think 11:30PM is right.

Like 2003, Tuesday night will probably be longer. Not as much union to deal with because they don't have to take the stage down or anything. But on Wednesday night, they need to do it relatively fast because the NBA draft is at the Garden on Thursday night. With the draft on Thursday, we may get more celebs than usual (and wanted, for that matter) at these shows.
even though we've discovered this'll be at the WAMU theatre, what celebrities attend the NBA draft?? i hardly see any at the NFL draft.

Adam Sandler had some good insight into this issue in the movie Reign Over Me. "So what, so you go to work tired tomorrow".
  • 11pm is when they officially have to stop playing. If they go overtime, like they did in '03, they'll be charged I think $10k. They love us, and they can afford it, so I'm hoping they play 'til at least 11:30 :D

Why don't they just charge each person in the audience like 50 cents for them to play past curfew? I'd fucking pay 50 cents for 45-60 min of more pearl jam...

I'd pay a lot more than 50 extra cents to get 45-60 min of more Pearl Jam!

I don't care normally, but this one time I gotta leave when I gotta leave because I can't miss a bus. It was either do it this way or skip the show altogether.
