What time is the curfew at MSG? I'm hoping for very long shows (regardless of curfew), but I am curious as to what the standards are. Anyone know?

Hopefully Ed blows off the curfew again, like they did in 2003 and plays all night long.

Like 2003, Tuesday night will probably be longer. Not as much union to deal with because they don't have to take the stage down or anything. But on Wednesday night, they need to do it relatively fast because the NBA draft is at the Garden on Thursday night. With the draft on Thursday, we may get more celebs than usual (and wanted, for that matter) at these shows.

Great.. hopefully Yao Ming won't be using his ten club tickets this tour and won't end up sitting in front of me.

I'm hoping these are the longest shows I go to only because I don't have to worry about post-concert traffic unless you count the mad rush of people going on the LIRR...

    "That poster or a beer"...

I think the draft is held at The Theater @ MSG, isn't it?

it's like the tour equal of yankee stadium traffic. but it's worse because the signs are not easily to spot.

  • Just checked the MSG website. The NBA draft is being held at the Wamu Theater @ MSG. The length of Wednesday's show will not be affected by the draft.....so relax...and enjoy!

In '03 the first nite they played till 1145, hit the stage at 9. The 2nd nite they came on at 845 and played till about 1120ish, So they were probably told 1145 is much too late so they came on 15 minutes earlier the next nite.

Im hoping this time we get an 845 till midnite show! 3 hours 15 minutes bring it!!!!!!!

3.5 hours is well within reason, right?

I never understood people who do that. It seems absolutely ridiculous to me! Why are people in such a rush to get everywhere that they can't just relax for a little while. I personally like a little bit of time to digest the show before I get back to rushing around like a madman. It also seems kinda insulting to the performers to get up and leave before the show is over. I've seen people leave a neck and neck hockey game in the last couple of minutes...I just don't get it. I also like leaving the stadium at the same time as everyone else... there's always this great vibe, and everyone is excited about the show they just saw. It makes for a complete experience.

I second that. If I was a rockstar I'd throw in a marathon concert once in a while.
