iTunes is enough of a reason not to get too excited about MACs. What a horrible program that is.
are you crazy ?
iTunes is the perfect media player. at least for me. I've used many others when I had a PC and I alos tried fdifferetn stuff on my pac at work: sory but there's nothing which is as good as iTunes

I don't like to categorize or organize my files in the same uniform manner as the masses.
I also like to be able to move them around at will without them being tethered or tied to one computer or certain devices.

mac for the lamens, pc for the geeks...I'm a geek and don't see any use for mac other than video and audio, and I don't do neither of those at a level that a pc doesn't work just fine for. the multitude of things I do with my pc aren't really possible with a mac, business especially. To each there own, I think the debate is a mute point, it's personal preference.

like for instance i cannot connect my mac to an A0 plotter we have on our ethernet network... just wont accept it.
pc installed it within sceonds.
but overall i'd always choose a mac... looks, stability, flow, security online, etc.
and although you can get Adobe CS on the pc, i've had a go on it and it was clunky... thats my standard response about mac v's pc... everything on a pc is clunky... on a mac its smooth and sexy like.... its the barry white of computers.
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.
what, I'm just saying it's about preference, ability, etc....I can do more on my pc than anyone I know can on a mac. it's limiting for someone that has a broad spectrum of needs.
I'd take a linux laptop over a mac anyday.
oh, and I'm not knocking mac's, I like them, I'm talking strickly from a functionality for my needs standpoint.

Hahahahaa....hmmm I wonder what the punch line could be for that joke...
By the way, I am a Mac user and could not argue any of your points...
Macs....the lazy man's computer. (God knows I am the laziest person on this planet)
I love mac's, they just aren't for me. I love apple's programs to match schools funding for new mac's. My brother went to a small elementary school in the mountains, maybe 400 kids through 1st - 6th grade, and they did food sales, and other fundraisers for a year, and got 20 imacs for the price of 10. Apple match them dollar for dollar on the purchase. That made a huge difference to the school, and Apple does this all over, it's one of the ways they have expanded their users in the last decade instead of fading away.

That is fucking cool!
And this actually brightened my day. Thank you.

You're not a jerk. It makes perfect sense that a PC supporter would trot out the old "mute point" phrase!
