HELLLLO?? ROB? Post some pics of that beautiful girl!

I don't know if I should be hanging out in here.
I want a cute little dog
    SO.
    SO.
    BAAAAD!!

Hey Kelly, I will help you work on Stephen about getting you a cute little dog :o3 I know you have cats, but dogs are very different, they are always so happy to see you! And our cat tolerates our 2 dogs, every time the dogs come inside the cat hisses at them they wag their tails at her then she walks away. So cats and dogs do get used to each other.
Keep showing Stephen cute dog pictures and I'm sure he will eventually give in :-)
    Hey Tash-
I wish it were that easy! Stephen wants dogs too! we both are huge animal lovers....its just our place is too small right now. I used to have a dachshund for about 4 years but it really traumatized one of my cats, who to this day looks alarmed or runs off if the windows are open and she hears the tags or a chain from someone walking a dog behind our building....and the dog has been gone since December 2010!! As much as I loved him, he was relentless about trying to hump/eat my little cat (Fiona, the one who is still afraid). The big cat can hold his own--and he was actually bigger than the dog was! ;)) He was an older dog and set in his ways. We even hired a Marine K9 Trainer guy to help us and THAT didn't even work!!
Once we get out of this condo and into a house with a yard, we will definitely get AT LEAST a couple dogs :D Stephen says i can have anything I want, as long as its "not one of those dogs that shake" (aka- Chihuahua, lol)

Rob- i keep pimping out the pics of Piper to everyone I can. A girl at my office now wants an Aussie too! I can not get over how cute and puffy she is!! I bet you are having loads of fun!
    Makes much more sense...

    Hey Kelly,
That's sounds very traumatising for everyone involved Fiona, you and the dog. When the time is right get a puppy and it should grow up with the cats and be nice to the cats....in the mean time you will have to keep visiting these gorgeous photos of Piper and be happy you aren't sleeping on the floor with a puppy. I bet in a few days Rob will post...Piper slept on the bed last night ;)

Piper's favorite spot is the fireplace hearth. it's pretty funny watching her climb up there. :P

This cuteness is killing me! She looks like a little hedgehog curled up there. :))

Funny, when it's warm outside Django has a spot on concrete where he would rather curl up than someplace soft.
He also loves our fireplace hearth and has since the day we brought him home--in the winter when there's a fire in the fireplace.

Hello! :-h imalive (rob) told me about this awesome doggie thread. I admit i have not read all 379 pages, yet, but.....
here's my Giant Pound Puppy Chelsea (this particular rescue group goes to Puerto Rico and brings the strays back to the US - assholes enjoy shooting the dogs who hang out by the beach :o3 ).

We did a DNA test on her as a present for my son who wants to be a zoologist - she's a Level 3 Rhodesian Ridgeback & Siberian Husky, Level 4 Beagle, Boston Terrier, Dalmatian, Rottweiler. Essentially, a Level 1 MUTT - my favorite breed :x .

She's got on her 'I love my 'woogie' and just want you to throw it a couple hundred times for me, (let me tilt my head a bit more)' look. She's a really good girl, i got her after my beloved dog, Guinness, died after being with me for 14 years. It was hard to love another dog, but Chelsea is so easy that she's a perfect fit. I've had her for 6 years, she was a (giant) baby when i first got her.

She will sleep all day, but say 'outside' and she grabs every toy she can fit in her mouth and will run in circles in our very small backyard (at least we have one here) for a good 1/2 hour. She's also a digger - which was very cute until i started tripping in hidden holes and flowers were being decimated. She'll concentrate on digging a perfect hole and then lie down in it. She will fetch forever, lick you till you have to talk to a dog about boundaries and eat rawhide like it's a snausage - so i have to watch her before she devours too much. She also has the strangest back legs and paws - they're like a kangaroo.

My son loves her and wanted to think of himself as the master, but he is really a litter mate, he would sleep on the floor with her - it is his first dog, so i can understand how he feels. At least that's how he was before he got messed up by someone who should be a role model - once i get him home, Chelsea will be very happy. My mother adopted Chelsea's friend, so they are still together (we share a two story house) and really love each other like sisters.

I really can't imagine living without a dog - i grew up with them - all pound puppies. Guinness was MY first dog, she was with me for such a large chunk of my life - i'll post a picture of her and talk about how incredible she was someday - but Chelsea is family now - unconditional love and trust are such awesome gifts they give us. Thanks for your compliment - i'll let Chelsea know. :\">

Loving Chelsea - dogs smiling are the best.

Rob, will you post of photo of Piper near your feet or hands - I'd like to see how big she is compared to people. Except you probably won't be posting any more pictures of her. So never mind.

you're probably right. this may be the last pic. she is a whopping 8 pounds.

Piper will be on the bed when she's potty trained and un-squishable.
