(this one goes out to small town beck)

So this place is apparently the must have apparel for my gym. Everyone seems to be sporting the pants, cute tops, and even little jackets. I've heard that people say these lululemon pants give women the cutest tushes, even when you don't have that cute of a tush. I know they are very pricey, but I told myself I can finally buy a pair of pants when I reach a goal of mine.

So I'm walking down the street just east of me the other day looking at the new stores going up, and lo and behold, one of them is a lululemon!! I'm so excited to go in when its open, but I am going to have to restrain myself from emptying my bank account.

Who shops there? Do you love the stuff? How does the quality hold up?

I was just on the website doing some window shopping before the store down the street opens and I was like, hey I love these head bands for the gym. My husband was like, uh, can't you buy a head band at target?

    :(

I haven't actually hit the goal yet. The store is opening really soon, so I'll go in and look and try things on, and that will motivate me even more!

    I want a cute tush!!

Notice how their website doesn't have any prices either... ugh, I don't want to know!

Ahh I wasn't the first to reply :o

At first I thought what is all the hype about  I remember a few years back a girl telling me she bought some while in Vancouver(before they hit the east coast) and I thought "what a fucking nut" .... well I am now too "a fucking nut" . I have a real potty mouth tonight ;)

I am going to buy some capris or shorts soon and maybe a shirt. I find my pants hold up well and I love them... so comfortable. When I got my pants I said to my cousin "it is like wearing nothing but BETTER". I also found somehow that my ass looked smaller which is always a PLUS for me!!

So yep check out my tush in my lululemon's sometime :D

My pants were $97 if you were wondering about price... I know I thought it crazy at first too

I agree with your husband. You just got a brand new SUV. Besides, you're married. You don't need a cute tush anymore.

correction, WE just got an SUV. And some people don't let themselves go because they got married. I was actually quite heavier when we met, and when we were dating. You seem to like to harp on my choices a lot.

I would need a cute tush if I took your advice to do porn, instead of working hard at what I actually do.

    DTE,

I SO don't have the body for tight clothes but these pants... they really are great :)

I do find the emblem a tad annoying but it is discreet...

I harp on everyone's choices. I'll remember that it truly bothers if that's what you prefer. And I got banned for the porn remark, so forgive me already. Besides...are you saying porn is not hard work? And porn requires the absence of clothing anyway. Therefore tush enchancing clothing is N/A.

Without the emblem I wouldn't know that I was the only one in muscle max class with champion work out pants on!

No, just understand that life doesn't end with marriage. I'm 24 years old. I'm not gonna eat bon bons all day and fall to pieces....

    yet.

Yo a bitch has got to start somewhere! Don't knock it.

Becks, do you have any bags from Lulu? They have cute gym bags.. I'm sure those are really expensive. Puma also has cute gym bags too, maybe I'll splurge on pants someday and continue to use my purse as my makeshift gym bag.. haha

I'm not saying you should get fat, and neither is your husband I'd imagine. What I'm saying is that tush-enhancing clothing is an unnecessary expense when considering the Target alternative.

I'm not above target by any means. I have on work out pants I bought from target. Nothing like buying 4 pairs of pants for less then the price of one. I totally get that. These were pants that I told myself if I reached a certain thing, I could get them. It helps to have a motivator. Some people motivate themselves by saying, I can have a big ice cream sundae, or I can have a dinner out or such, but when the goal is weightloss, I am motivated to show off my hard work, so a pair of flattering pants seemed to motivate me.

Wow..honestly...I wasn't expecting a response with such conviction. Did you tell your husband your feelings about needing tush-enhancing non-Target workout shorts? If it's that important to you...

Can't we all just get along and talk about some lululemon? :o

I think Gray just enjoys spirited debate just as much as the next Jammer. She is a uniquely assertive personality amongst her AET peergroup. After all, how many women have the stomach for duking it out with a car salesman for 7 hours? Not many. It's nothing personal. She's just doing a little bit of target practice, which is totally healthy.

You know, when you're above 200lbs and you've lived that life of wishing you were a skinny girl that looked good, its hard not to want to buy a great pair of pants. I've struggled my entire life with weight. My husband fully supports me if I want to buy a pair of pants. I don't tell him a 100 something dollar sweater at j.crew is stupid and pointless if he thinks he looks good and wants to buy it. Sure, they sell sweaters at target, but everyone likes to have something nice here and there. I also don't have to approve purchases, or beg my husband to buy me things. I have a job, I contribute half of our income. I don't spend my money on some things that other people do, like going out to bars, and clubs and dinner. So all in all a pair of pants isn't a bank breaker.

Do you think it's a stupid and pointless decision for your husband to buy a $100 J Crew sweater? You personally would rather he wear a Target sweater?

Um, no? Didn't I just say that I don't tell him that?

Anyways.. this isn't about that. And I don't want to get thrown off for derailing my own thread.

    Back to Lululemon..

I think I like these pants:

    http://www.lululemon.com/products/womens/bottoms/pants/slalom_pant

I like the color. Seems everyone wears black, these are a little different from everyone else.

You say you don't tell him that, but it sounds like that's because you respect his buying decisions more than you appreciate the way a $100 makes him look.

What I'm getting at is that your husband clearly appreciates your tush without tush modifying clothing. Therefore, the need for tush modifying clothing becomes vague.

However, if you appreciate your husband's, say, pecks underneath a $100 sweater, then the purchase is not vaguely justifiable. Rather, it is a marriage enhancer on top of a peck enhancer.

He may or may not know where you stand in terms of whether you appreciate his pecks in Target sweaters or in J Crew sweaters, and so I suspect that's why he continues to make these purchases.

Also, I don't feel that it is totally off-topic because we're talking about bodypart glorification through the use of expensive, flattering clothing.
