Mom: Gap sweater, old navy pajamas, NYC fire fighters calender, and a diamond necklace

Dad: North face fleece and a Barnes and Noble gift card

Brother: Huge custom Elliot Smith painting of the CD cover Figure 8, and pre-ordered the vinyl rereleases of XO and Figure 8

Aunt: Gap perfume, and lotion

Other Aunt: framed photo of Chicago sky line

cousin: perfume from anthopologie

Dad's lady friend: Table top book on fashion icons (she's a designer)

Dad's lady friend's son: Stephan Colbert's new book

Boss's: Gift card to an awesome sushi place, and a donation in their honor

Baby I work with: 2 Eric Carle books, Eric Carle alphabet flash cards, and one of those things you see at doctors offices where the big beads are on the colored wires.

Gray Saturday, throw in a steak dinner and I officially wish I was your husband.

  • I haven't bought anything for anyone yet....

Only thing I'm sure about is my sister's husband's gift: Sigur Ros' Heima. I've recently converted him so I'm pretty excited about that....

Where did you find that?? I wanted to get Mia one of those thingys, but didn't even know where to begin looking. (Although, she's such a bruiser she'd probably try to climb the thing.)

It is fun, but it's like lifting weights. THAT'S fun too, but it's pretty hungry work.

We changed up the Christmas giving in our family this year. We just drew names out of a hat and have a $50 limit on gifts which is good. It kind of takes the materialism out of the day. Although it will be weird.

I will still buy things for my nieces though. Probably some gift cards to Hollister or something.

I bought my friend a Queens of the Stone Age ticket though for tomorrow. He'll be stoked, since he won't know about it until I show up at his house ready to go out tomorrow night.

it's not bad, but i'm jealous of one friend whose mom is catholic and dad is jewish, that would be mean double the gifts.
