PJGARDEN, I can understand how you must feel frustrated, because you've hit a plateau. Do you ever count your calories? I should be consuming 2000 calories a day, so anything under that will be a weight loss for me. Anything over 2000, and I'll gain weight. It can be tedious, counting calories, but it helps me and that's how I lost my weight.
I think instead of your protein shake, you should make an egg-white omelette. Throw one whole egg in there to add a little flavor. I have one every morning and I change the ingredients, so they don't become boring. Mushrooms, onions & peppers. Or steak & onions. Or broccoli & cheese.
An hour after my omelette, I eat a bowl of high-fiber, low-calorie cereal with 1% milk.
For lunch, I usually have a salad with some form of protein on top (ground lamb, black beans, prawns, fish). I'm not a big salad person, so that's probably my hardest meal.
And for dinner we have brown mushroom rice, pan-roasted vegetables and steak or fish or chicken.
