i have quite a few 'collections.'

the biggest is probably boxes. i LOVE decorative boxes, all shapes/sizes/materials. mostly wood and other natural materials, usually arts and crafts or asian in design.

    green teapots.

    hand-blown glass perfume bottles.

books - especially art books, cds, dvds......loads!

chairs. yes, miniature chairs. i actually don't even display them anymore but they were an obsession for a long time, so down in storage in the basement for now, perhaps someday break em out again.

    pearl jam posters.

most of my teapots, perfume bottles even some of the boxes and chairs i've gotten as gifts, during my travels, etc.....so hold a lot of meaning for me.

other than pj posters and vinyls, i collect precious moments. they're actually kind of creepy looking to me now (:)) but i've been collecting them since i was a teenager and all of them have been gifts and remind me of cool moments like picking a college or high school graduation...

LOL! Just another thing we have in common...and was cracking up to see them in your house.

Fridge magnets of places that I (or my husband) have visited (I think I need a bigger fridge after this year! :)). Some Xmas ornaments. Some Myth and Magic figurines, but not too many.

I collect these too. My parents and my ex bring me magnets from their travels as well...so I have quite a few. I group them geographically :o:p

I collect boxes too - and then use them to store the jewelry I collect :) I have wooden, cermic and metal ones - and the majority are from Poland, India and Africa. They've all been gathered on travels (my own or those of friends/family).

I love collecting jewelry - not the expensive precious gemstone kind - but a lot of handmade/ethnic pieces from different countries. My favorite pieces are ones my friend brings back from Armenia. I have a huge amber collection - all different colors/kinds - most of it from Poland.

I wasn't allowed to collect Garbage Pail Kids. I'd bring them home, hide them...and my parents would always find them.

I collect all the tickets I ever get, movie, plane, shows. They mostly just get thrown into my closet though, with the exception of concert tickets.

But my big thing is collecting Do Not Disturb signs from hotels I stay at or friends/family stay at. I woke up one day and thought it would be great and became obsessed with it. So if you want to be my friend send em over :)

I'm big into news and politics, so I started collecting news papers in High School. example... Diana's death or when the Blue Jay's won the world series, mike tyson and the holyfield ear thing. Like any big kinda headline. So I ended up with a box of New News papers, that got thrown out when a friend thought it was trash. which I guess It kinda was.

Also Cans, a star war pepsi can, never opened, some coke cans from the world cup, never opened of course oh oh wait, I had a friend come over and light up a joint with me one night, he got thirsty and drank one, poor fucker thought it was new....I think he liked it too..dude is like "why does this can have world cup flags on it?" which was like 2 years old at that ponit. hey maybe cokes like wine? gets better with age? nah, anyway that's just about it.
