and put it in with some gene from an apple.
the ones i have ate were a dull red color, not bright like a red delicious.

like cross breeding plants or grafting plants.

i am going off track a bit here
but it's totally wild how ppl have
created a new food or a new concept
to an old food
the grapple thing
reminded me of this..
in Japan they have figured out how
to grow square water melons.
can anyone guess how they do that, and why they do that?

they grow water melons in square boxes which in turn forms the water melon into a square rather than the traditional rounded/oval shaped water melon.
they say the melons can be shipped easier and stored in a refrigerator better.

Unfortunately, they're not in season. When they were, I ate about four a day. Unbelievably yummy.
For now, I get by with Gala, followed by Pink Lady's.0 -
