I am starting to plan what I'm going to cook next week. I asked my mother for an old recipe and I want to make a new dessert too. I'm thinking some kind of lime pie maybe or perhaps strawberry rhubarb.
What about you? Anything new or old you're definitely making?

cranberry horseradish mousse
YUM
I'm definitely baking a lemon almond bar I baked for the first time a couple months ago. Ohmygawd! They are dEEEEEEvine!
The risk I took was calculated, but man, am I bad at math - The Mincing Mockingbird
its pureed cranberries, a little horseradish, a little sour cream, lemon juice, and a little gelatin-molded
nice and refreshing with all those heavy and "brown" foods
That sounds good!
Oh Ms. Haiku, I love lemon bars!
it is really, really good
even better the next day as a spread for the turkey sandwiches
you cook?
I am going to my brother's and will probably bring my cornbread and sausage stuffing as well as a pumpkin cheese cake.
My head is still in September, so not ready for the holidays.
"The leads are weak? Fuckin' leads are weak? You're Weak! I've Been in this business 15 years"
"What's your name?"
"FUCK YOU! THAT"S MY NAME!"
hehehehe
I do. In another life, I was almost a chef instead of a landshark
you should see me carve the turkey
unlike anything youve ever seen!
Pumpkin cheese cake sounds good too! I'd make it, but my boys don't like cheese cake.
Maybe some stuffing too. Stuffing is easy, even without the bird.
Hubby and I will probably also try to find a good bar to go hang with people avoiding their families. That doesn't involve making anything, except perhaps some change for tips.

Prepare for tending to your garden, America.
i've been asking the fam what they want so far it's
pumpkin bread
cranberry bread
turkey
stuffing(possibly apply cranberry and sausage not sure yet)
mashed potates
candies sweet potatoes
broc and cheese
cranberry sauce
pumpkin pie
apple pie
lemon meringe pie
then the next day i always use the bones and make turkey soup
we'll see what i do and what
I will also peal potatoes and be in charge of frying the turkey. They don't trust me to get the turkey in the oven but i can use the fryer

Social awareness does not equal political activism!
5/23/2011- An utter embarrassment... ticketing failures too many to list.
just 4 of this year so all the more reason, dinner at a nice restaurant and we all can get what we want, no cleanup, and just enjoy each other's company. tis all good.
Let's just breathe...
I am myself like you somehow
god's eyes are closed, just like yours
salad
rolls
mashed potatoes/gravy
some sort of vegetable(s)
sweet potato dish my mother-in-law is bringing
that nasty cranberry jelly that my sister insists be present on the table
some pies and other sweet goodies
For appetizers, I am making baked garlic shrimp and tasty cheese-filled pastry balls I ordered from William-Sonoma.
I always make way too much food.
If you make enough, there's no cooking the next night.
maybe:)
As long as you get something you REALLY like, I guess it will still feel like a holiday.
