Came across this on ebay....

http://cgi.ebay.com/Grammy-winners-San-Diego-North-Coastal-home-as-a-teen_W0QQitemZ320231123219QQihZ011QQcategoryZ12605QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Regardless if it was his childhood home or not, sell
the house for the features of the house. Don't use anothers fame to up the price or help it sell.

Ed lived in Evanston as a child I'm pretty sure. I think he moved to San Diego when he graduated high school.

Yeah it says home as a teen but I have no clue if it would be true.

I have all of the books but I really dont care about the bands personal lives other than that they are healthy and happy.

Ed lived in Evanston prior to high school. He went to high school in San Diego and never graduated. He later went back for his GED.

It's a gorgeous home, for sure, but did anyone check out the slideshow linked through the auction listing? Pretty obnoxious. There's even a framed poster of Ed in the powder room.

Yep, that's where he lived in high school. It's in the Five Against One book. Walking distance from the Long's Drug store where he worked, btw.

I need to just STOP and NOT comment here. However -I just can't help myself - at times. This is "borderline" ....okay....I will just say it...."Sick"! Who cares anyway...? Buying a house simply because someone whom became famous lived there... at some point. If this TRULY is important to some people - then they truly are.....sick" not to mention....
lacking" somewhere" else in their life. Stupid comment - for a stupid house listing. And MY personal PJ memorabilia is NOT hanging in my frikon BATHROOM! Hello???!!!

It is a nice house. But it's a HOUSE! Make me understand your reasoning. Unless you are a Real Estate Agent - I just don't get it. I've seen MUCH nicer homes.

Are you talking about playing up the whole "Eddie Vedder lived here" thing?

Thank you for pointing out to me where I have lived my entire life. "What" is it that "We" do exactly? Tour the previous homes of the famous? I personally don't. I must be missing something here. To each his own. :)

I meant in america we have a very bad and unhealthy habit of being celebrity crazy. Paris ges to jail for half a night? All over the news for an entire week. It's on EVERY network. They'll say something like "Today congress passed a new bill. How will it affect you. But first, WHO IS LOHAN GONNA BLOW NEXT!?!" Adding that a celebrity lived in a certain house is guaranteed garner more interest in that house. That's what I meant by that.

In retrospect...I do believe you have a good point. I guess I just don't subscribe to "touring homes of the famous." Sounds stupid to me (personally!) :)

Yes...and for JUST a moment....I too, thought....wow! How great that would be. But then my intelligence "kicked in." I will agree to disgree here. Again - to each his own.

Oh, I wasn't disagreeing with you. Just clarifying what you meant. That real estate lady is doing her job, she's definitely got something to grab people's attention. But they overdid it in my opinion with some of that stuff in the slideshow. But hey, jaime fox's shit sold crazy because it was his, so maybe they got it all figured out.

That's way too much in my area but is it reasonable in Southern Cali? What's the average home going for over there?

that's what I was wondering. If it's really close to the beach, its def gonna be a jacked up price because of location.

I AGREE with you! I think it's quite discusting when our attention is on the celebutards, versus having our focus on other more pressing issues (Iraq). I'm just saying.....understand? I'm not trying to be evil - or to antagonize anyone.

Hate to say it, but majority of Americans including myself aren't really interested about Iraq, health care crisis, and other political issues out there.
It's because we're either dumb or just don't care. Me, I think I fall under the both categories and it's probably based from all the conflicting news channels out there. Same thing with religion, I choose you be non-religious because hypocrisy of all religions out there.

OMG ....I'm one of "Those" people...so I'll just be blunt here.....LONG time lovers of Pearl Jam Music....but just joined 10C! We will have 10 C tickets, but our seating really doesn't matter to us. We're in love with the music - not any particular member...so as long as we can hear the music. Still would be nice to meet some10C'er's in the process. Much love regardless. At least we all have this ONE thing in common. Very unique, and very proud to be affiliated with!

Don't know what this is. ("Touring Fans)! Please explain! Also - you are so lucky to see them TWICE!!!! during this Southern tour! I am very envious! If I could have paid for more...AND traveled....beyond Tamp - I would have! Nonetheless, I am extremely GREATFUL for TAMPA! Hope to meet you there!

    touringfans.net

Essentially this is what it does. You go to the site, create your login information (Login name, password, location, etc). You then put in your fan club number and choose what shows you're going to. After that, you can choose to view what shows you're going to and it has the number of registered fans that are going to that particular show, what their fan club number is, and it organizes the numbers from low to high, so you can see where you stand. Useful if you want to know where you're gonna be sitting or if you simply curious. But remember...random rows baby, random rows. Oh, and I got my refund just in time to pay for both of these shows. Otherwise it would've been just tampa. Have you been to a pj show before?

I realize what you are saying and you make an EXCELLENT point, I, too, (while I hide in COMPLETE shame) used to "log on" to TMZ.com.- DAILY! And then I ONE day I had an "apiphony" (sp.....?). And decided that this makes me as bad as the Papparozzi! I sucked. However, I have since corrected myself. Also - I am going as GREEN as I can - as well as other things in my life. I figured- I was kinda moving into a "loser" status - when I started giving a shit when Britney's next screw up would be (an example.) I was becming a loser when I started sinking to that level. Stupid me - and to be honest - I WAS quite bored with my life at the time. I just chose to NOT pay attention to this kind of stuff anymore! It bled my brain, as well as my time - un-necessarily! I like to think, for the most part, I have my wits about me! Which is why I was on the "fast-track" to "Loser-ville." Take care!
