It's "International" Day at Julia's school (where everyone brings the food of 'their people') and her mom made some amazingly yummy Indian dish for her to bring. I just scarfed down a whole bowl...and I want more. rice=good, chicken=good, onions=good, cashews=good, homemade Indian food=awesomeness!

The parents of one of my daughters friends at school are starting their own takeout business and they set round free samples for us to try. YUM! :D

Yeah it's like NY'ers and Chinatown, haven't been in years (although Queens Chinatown in Flushing is way better)

Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions

I am only saying this cuz I care Mer, but Indian food tastes so good because it is loaded with ghee....clarified butter.
It sucks because it seems so healthy but then WA-BAM! there it is, stuck to your hips.

I had me some Chicken Tikka Masala for lunch......damn, thats some mighty good eatin' !!

There is a place in Studio City (Los Angeles) called Lal Mirch, which has the yummiest Indian food ever!

(Well, there is a place in Cardiff, Wales that adds liquid smoke to their masala, but its an 11 hour flight, so its tough to get there on a weekly basis!)

Although I've never had Indian food in London, if you haven't tried Copper Chimney (e. 28th between Park and Lex) in NYC, do so asap! Having eaten at numerous Indian restaurants throughout the city this one has reigned supreme! It was taken out of Zagat two years ago due to lack of survey response which is just fine by me!

Funny that you posted this.. I had Indian food for the first time last night..

I hate to be the Debbie Downer in this thread, but I didn't like it at all. Maybe you have to grow up with it though. I don't know.

I couldn't stop burping all night after the meal, which didn't help me like the taste any better.
