It was approx 10 blocks from my house and I passed it every day going to work but never went. I was too busy but kick myself in the ass for not going cause I really wanted to see it. It only left about a month ago too

Yup, same here! I just saw it's showing in NYC and it might be the perfect opportunity to see it when I'm there.
P.S. I am a little freaked that they're real bodies. Are they formaldahyde stinky??

Saw it with my best friend and her dad, when it was in TO.
Good stuff...disturbing. We went in the early hours of the am too, only people there. It was...odd. But interesting and well worth the $.

I'm slightly creeped out about it...but I'm more curious.
Meh, you'll be good!
It's like anticipating something that will cause pain...the anticipation's the worst part.
Afterward you'll be so amazed at how amazing the human body is that you won't think about the creepy factor.

Do like the bodies move or talk...or stare you at??

I saw 'body worlds' great exhibit! Bodies was created by a student of the body world creator...and the way he obtained the bodies is questionable. In some instances it was found that he used chinese inmates who where executed.
I wrote a paper on it a few years ago...look into it more...its pretty intriguing:)

No to everything but the staring lol.
Just stay to the side of them, then they can't stare.
Actually, I guess that depends on the setup.
Where I saw them it was a huge empty room so they were all in cases that were glass on all four sides, you could look from every angle. That might not be the case where you see them...
Just don't look them in the eye lol

Took the wife the day after the PJ show in Vegas '06. Her idea. It was cool. Will have to agree that the preggo women, skinned, is a bit much to take at first.
For the love of God, Mer, it's not Disneyland. They didn't hook animatronic devices to the bodies so they could give you a tour. "Oh, excuse me mad'am, would you mind handing me my spleen? It seemed to have fallen out while I was giving a demonstration on the stationary bike."

Just go. Deal with the nightmares later.
UM.....that's disturbing...on all counts

I saw the Body Worlds one and thought it was really cool and fascinating. It was kind of like morbid art, for lack of a better explanation.
I agree. It was cool though...the way they displayed the bodies doing various activities and showing what the muscles would look like when doing them. I really remember the gymnast on the rings!

If you can find a way, or it's in a town you're vacationing in, or it comes back, go!
So it's worth the $$ then?

How sensitive are you?
If you look at it in more of an inquisitive frame of mind, you'll be fine.
If you think of them as real humans, it might get to you....

The saddest part was the pregnant women and the fetus'
But again this was the 'Body Worlds' exhibit.
I want to see that, but I'm afraid I won't be able to handle it!

The fact that some of the bodies had tattoos was so cool. I was so caught up in it that i forgot they were real people!
