i was shocked by the whole bomb thing too, i wasnt sure if it really happened at first or if it was just meredith imagining it...but then when i saw her covered in blood i gues it was real??? just strange how no one made a big deal about it???

i thought it was soooo sweet that derrick came to her house....!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah so the bomb blew up, no body died? No issues? No wrap up of the explosion? weird.

oh, my roommate was hilarious, he says "Damn dude, should have got the "Early Edition" which is hilarious when you consider that bomb squad guy was the dude from Early Edition.
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.

Yeah, GA has a way of glossing over the whole death aspect of the hospital setting sometimes. But if they always gave it the proper attention, there wouldn't be much room in the show to develop the central storylines.
They definitely do quite often gloss over the death part, which normally doesn't bother me so much, but it did last night.

HAHA! Good one. That's hilarious! I used to love that show!

I loved the part when O'Malley, who was coaching Bailey during her delivery, told Bailey that he could see the head, and Bailey responded with something like, "O'Malley, stop looking at my va-jay-jay" :)

Yeah, I thought that one was weird too. Although I must admit that I was actually shocked it went off, although I shouldn't have been, considering its soap opera TV. The rewind button on the DVR got a work out in that instance.

I always end up missing the show in my time zone so I watch the west coast feed later (satellite).
It drives me bonkers cause they never show next weeks preview they just go straight to news.
Anyone see whats supposed to happen next week?

The guy that Addison cheated on Derek with in NY shows up, and I think starts hitting on Meredith.

It appears that Derek punches hiim out, too.

Izzy and Alex are going to experience some recoil after their passionate moments together.

Thatcher Grey (presumably Meredith's dad) makes an appearance and has some sort of role in the plotline.

If you really paid attention, when the bomb goes off, you can see the pink mist the doctor spoke of. Pretty good attention to detail they paid there, but then again, they completely glossed over the fact that it exploded at all afterwards, so I guess it works out even.

Did anyone besides me buy the first season on DVD yesterday?

Haven't tried to sit down and watch any of it yet (and probably won't until the weekend. But I thought I would see if anyone else got it.

We're about halfway to Sunday and another new episode.

My mom gave me a gift card to Best Buy for Valentines Day, so I'll probably pick that up, along with something else, as its pretty cheap, like 16 bucks.

Yeah, the promo for next week sure makes it look as though George is being used as a convenience by Meredith. That's awful because he made such a genuine and sincere move.

How about that scene of Christina and Preston dancing in his apartment. I laughed really hard at that, for some reason.

Burke finds out that Cristina still has her old apartment and gets steamed. Near the very end of the episode he gets frustrated and loud with her over lying about it, but she tells him that she just closed the deal and no longer has the apartment (we are left to believe she is telling the truth).

Dr. Mark Sloan shows up and is hitting on Meredith. Derek sees him and immediately punches him out, because this is the same guy with whom Addison cheated on Derek in New York. While he is in Seattle, Chief reluctantly gives him an assignment to work on a kid with 'lionitis' because Sloan is a highly-renowned plastic surgeon. The kid happens also to be Derek's neuro patient, causing more tension between the two. Mark makes an appeal to Addison to move back to New York because it's obvious Derek is in love with Meredith and doesn't want Addy around. Alex shows a liking for Mark and an interest in plastic surgery. Oh, and as the ladies said, Mark is a nice-looking guy.

Bailey was loafing around the hospital with her newborn baby (which looks like he aged six months since last Sunday) and said that she will be helping her husband go home from the hospital really soon.

Meredith visits her mother, who is in the middle of a schizo sequence where she thinks it's 20 years ago. She tells Meredith that she's been having (had) an affair and Thatcher (Meredith's dad) knows about it but won't acknowledge it. Meredith questions Chief about her mother's past not knowing that it was he who had the affair with her mom. Meredith looks her dad up in the phone book--presumably he still lives in the Seattle area--and goes to see him for the first time in 20 years. She asks him why he didn't stay and fight for his family. He hardly has an answer and she walks away crying.

Izzy and Alex are humping like animals, but she verbally says that she wants nothing of a relationship with him. In her conversations with George, she keeps talking about her sexual "beast" being awakened since she'd been doing the nasty with Alex. She and George also tend to a patient with spontaneous orgasms, prolonging the sexual dialogue and intrigue. She talks on and on about sex, but George is only interested in getting advice about how to talk to Meredith about his feelings for her.

George tries to compliment Meredith at lunch and she doesn't even hear him. He tries to ask her out for a drink during their shift and she is so preoccupied with finding her dad that she doesn't hear or doesn't acknowledge his invitation. In the final scene, he knocks on her bedroom and she invites him in. George tells Meredith how--if he had the chance--he would never hurt her, never leave her, and never stop loving her. She reaches to hug him in an awkward exchange and then she lifts his shirt up and over his head. We assume they are about to have sex.

The teasers for next week include George and Meredith in bed together and the hint that Meredith tells someone else what happened between the two. It appears that much of the intern group/hospital staff learns that they slept together. Also, the heart transplant patient (played by Chris O'Donnell) who flirted with Izzy makes a return, presumably to receive the new heart and stay on the cast for several weeks during recovery (I read this on an entertainment site).

That's about all I can remember about the teasers because I was too busy cheering for George. Hope it helps some.

I have a sense that George is definitely getting hurt by all of this. In the grand scheme, I suppose he is collateral damage, but I still hate to see the nice guy get dumped on.

Meredith IS the star, so I'm sure the writers will try to find a way to justify her momentary weakness with George.

I agree that it's sad for his character, though.

Oh and the woman who left her "fiancee," wtf??? Absolutely heartless.
